Stirling impressed at our Prep Hoops Expo by showing off the ability to run the floor, finish at the rim and block shots. He’s starting to flash those skills at the varsity level with averages of six points, almost nine rebounds and almost two blocks a night. If Stirling can continue to develop his body and add softer touch at the rim, he’s a prospect who can start turning heads this summer for college programs.

I had caught Stirling once prior to this during the month of June with Cincinnati Hughes. He showed off his ability to protect the rim, his size and length. On Saturday I once again saw these skills on display as Stirling was one of the best rim protectors in attendance. Going straight up to contest at his height is going to be difficult for a lot of guards to score at the rim against him and that was the case when Stirling wasn’t fouling. Offensively Stirling is a work in progress but showed the most confidence in a turnaround jumper that he knocked down a handful of times throughout the afternoon. A name to monitor in the CMAC, Stirling showed some intriguing upside and could be a breakout player in the up-tempo conference.
