I’m a big fan of the offensive juice Sergi plays with, getting downhill with ease off the dribble and playing with a unique rhythm and pace to his game that is tough for defenses to react to. When Sergi can get downhill he is at his most dangerous as he’s efficient in the paint and from the mid-range area with his ability to shoot over smaller guards with soft touch. I also like Sergi’s ability to play as a pick and roll ball handler, able to make reads against rotating defenses. If Sergi is consistently knocking down 3-point shots, he’ll be an impact lead guard at the low to mid major level.

Another new name at a top prep program, Sergi is one of the top floor generals in the elite prep league. After the second session of games, Sergi was second in the league in assists. I like Sergi’s positional size and patience on the ball. Sergi has experience playing for Spain’s national team at the U-17 level in FIBA competition. Another Division I target, Sergi should see the buzz around his game continue to grow. A sleeper 2026 prospect who more schools should know about!

In what was the most exciting game of the day, Sergi helped lead Andrew’s Osborne Academy past a gritty William Academy team. Sergi has a quick first step and was living in the paint all day. Able to attack going either direction, Sergi is a player you can’t shade to one side or the other. I was impressed with Sergi’s touch on layups and free throws but he didn’t take many 3-point shots. The next time I evaluate Sergi, I’ll be looking for him to let it fly from beyond the arc with no hesitation. Based on what I saw on Saturday, Sergi looks like a no-brainer Division I target at the low to mid major level. I expect him to get some serious interest this winter if he continues to play like he did this weekend.
