Griffin played a great facilitator role for Reynoldsburg but also ended up with a team-high 16 points. He was aggressive in the first quarter and got the Raiders settled in with a tough finish in traffic on the rim. He made big-time threes in the third when they needed it. He did not just take shots but made them. The Raiders trust when Griffin has the ball in his hands because he knows when to shoot it or dish it. He finished with a game-high 8 assists.

Griffin is the unsung hero for this Reynoldsburg team. He is the point guard for this team, and I think the player that controls this team. He plays the game with a great pace and under control. The Raiders are best when they are playing fast, and Griffin knows this and excels at it. He does a great job of being the senior point guard for this squad. You trust him with the ball in his hands. He knocked down shots all night. He was a player that they could count on to knock down the big shots. He can and did do it all.

A football first prospect unlike some of the previous names we’ve mentioned, Griffin had three touchdowns in Reynoldsburg’s victory over Groveport Madison. The Raiders have won two in a row after starting the year 1-4 and seem to be hitting their stride before the playoffs get underway.

A multi sport athlete, Griffin is a standout on both the gridiron and hardwood. It appears Griffin will play football at the college level as he’s prioritized that on his Twitter, posting big plays including a punt return touchdown early in the season. On the hardwood, Griffin could be the key piece if Reynoldsburg is going to make a deep playoff push. The raiders will need Griffin’s ball handling and ability to beat pressure if they want to make a state title run.

Quality Sports had a strong start to the tournament that got a delayed start with their opponent being a little late to the tournament. Despite playing a little over a half, Griffin established his presence on both ends of the court tonight. Defensively, Griffin has quick hands that caused turnovers and allowed his team to push the pace. With the ball in his hands, Griffin was looking to pass it ahead to a teammate running down the court. Also knocking down jumpers, Griffin’s toughest shot was a 3-pointer in the corner off a nice BLOB set for him to catch a handoff. Quality Sports could have a chance to make some real noise this weekend.

Quality Sports Academy 2025 went undefeated on the weekend at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Kick Off and this dynamic 5’9″ point guard was a big factor in their success. Griffin was a consistent double-figure scorer throughout the weekend including 17 points in a win over Ballers Elite 2025 and 18 points in a hard-fought victory to end the weekend against NEBC. He can flat out score the basketball and was one of the primary catalysts to a 6-0 record at the event.

Reynoldsburg played one of the toughest schedules in the state and were in a lot of marquee battles. They had lots of talent returning from last season but needed somebody to take the reins as the point guard. In steps Griffin from Columbus South, who was expected to be mostly a boost to Reynoldsburg’s football program. Griffin has completely changed the dynamic of the Reynoldsburg offense, giving them a speedy point guard who can break free from pressure and speed the tempo up for their stud wings and forwards to shine in transition. Griffin has also knocked down some clutch shots late in games, helping the Raiders win some close games. Reynoldsburg is still dancing and if they want to win a district title this season, Griffin will likely need to make some big plays.

Reynoldsburg is one of the most talented teams in Ohio with four players holding Division I offers. However it was a football first prospect in Griffin who made arguably the biggest impact on Saturday night in their win over Richmond Heights. Griffin ran the show as the point guard, getting downhill and setting the table for their wings and forwards. A clutch pull-up shooter, Griffin can get hot in a hurry from the outside with the 3-point shot. Also throwing down a transition dunk that got the crowd off their feet, you saw the explosiveness that makes Griffin a force on the gridiron. Late in the game it was an assist from Griffin that helped Reynoldsburg take the lead late when he hit Jordan Bowens on the pick and roll. Impressive team win from Reynoldsburg who had a few individual standouts, but I picked Griffin to spotlight.

A two-sport stud, Griffin is likely going to be a football prospect when it’s all said and done but don’t let that distract you from his potential on the hardwood. The undersized guard is one of the quickest and most explosive athletes in the 2025 class with the shooting ability to get hot from the outside in a hurry. Undersized guards thrive in up and down tempos and the Columbus City League style suits his game perfectly. One of the more exciting players in Central Ohio’s 2025 class, fans should check Griffin out on the hardwood next season.
