Leach has always been a valuable glue guy who defends, hustles and overall impacts winning. During the summer with the Ohio buckets and this winter with Toledo Whitmer, Leach has taken steps as a primary scorer and creator. Able to beat defenders with his quick first step and making a higher percentage of 3-point shots, Leach continues to trend upward and could see rotation minutes early in his career at Bowling Green.

Leach was sensational as Toledo Whitmer had Combine Academy (NC) on the ropes for a majority of the contest. Leach knocked down a couple 3-pointers and also attacked the rim with a ton of aggression. His high motor led to some wild shots but also got Leach extra shots at the rim and was unpredictable to stop for the Combine Academy defense. With

sitting with foul trouble in parts of the second half, Leach was forced to become a primary creator and did what he could against a team stacked with Division I recruits. Another productive performance for Leach who is one of the top guards in Toledo’s 2025 class.

Bowling Green Falcons commit plans to put together another big year for the Whitmer Panthers. Last year as a transfer he fit into the Panthers squad perfectly. With West, they were one of the best one-two punches in the state. I expect the same this year but with greater maturity and control of the game. Leach is a high-level finisher at the rim. He has great length that allows for some difficult acrobatic finishes. He impressed me with some confident and consistent three-point shooting ability in a scrimmage I saw this preseason. If he can provide that for the Panthers this year, he makes them so much more dangerous. Leach will win a good amount of games for Whitmer this year.

Leach is a recent Bowling Green Falcons commit now he is fully focused on bringing some hardware back to Whitmer. Leach has always been skilled in his slashing and finishing ability. He showed his added consistent shooting on Saturday. He did a good job of shooting off the dribble and coming off of screens. He used the slashing threat to open up space for his shooting. This will be something that will be big for him and the Panthers this year.

A flat out competitor, Leach fueled a near 20 point comeback victory for the Ohio Buckets 17 U squad that continues to impress on the EYCL circuit. Mask on or mask off for Leach, he’s going to get after you defensively and look to push the pace. Really impressed with his ability to finish at the rim, challenging a 6’10 center on layups with both hands. Knocking down the occasional jumper as well, Leach has taken his game to a new level finding the right fit on the grassroots circuit. Lots of low to mid major interest for Leach who is one of the marquee prospects on an Ohio Buckets squad that had a large collection of college coaches there to watch them.

The standout performer of the weekend from the Ohio Buckets 17 U group, Leach is an athletic guard who uses his quick first step to get by defenders from the point of attack. Decisive off the dribble, Leach is always looking to get downhill off the dribble. An impact defender as well, Leach forces turnovers with his active hands and anticipation. Also knocking down a couple 3-pointers off the catch, Leach shot it with confidence when left alone. While Leach had strong moments over the weekend, he struggled to take care of the basketball at times when facing pressure. Whether it was losing control off the dribble or being unable to pass out of traps, turnovers plagued the team in the game I caught, turning a double-digit lead into a dogfight down the stretch.

Leach transferred to Whitmer this year and it was the best move for him. His first two years you just flashes of him being a really good player and Coach Anthony Stacey and Whitmer pulled it all out of him. He and West fed off each other perfectly. Leach played with a ton more freedom and showed off his high-volume scoring ability. He is super tough to stop from getting to the rim due to his length and shiftiness. He also showed a consistent jumper that opened up another part of his game. He was a great defender all year and made every player he defended work for everything. I expect Leach to carry this confidence into the AAU season and be someone people will be talking a lot about. He is a really good player and will display it again.

Leach had a huge second half that ended up getting the Panthers over a hump and help lead them to victory. He was really quiet in the first half but came out of half and was figuring it out. He was getting the rim and finishing along with knocking down some shots. Leach has found a good home with Whitmer this year and has had his best season. He is an essential player in the Panthers’ success.
