It is officially rankings update time here at the Pope Hoops Indiana headquarters. On Monday we released our updated and expanded Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings featuring our Top 50 prospects along with a loaded Watch List of over 300 more players. In total, we added 118 new names to this rankings update from what we previously had released. We are really proud of the work that went into making that happen. Now, we will spend the week diving deeper into the rankings with positional breakdowns, stock-risers, new names, and a look at some of the names to know on the Watch List. Here is a look at the point guards ranked within our Top 50 prospects overall.

Our top ranked point guard is also #2 overall in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings. Gardner Jr. is already a sought after high-major prospect with offers from Purdue and DePaul with plenty more to come on that front. There aren't many sophomore point guards in the country with his level of explosiveness.

Admittedly, it has been a while since we've seen Miller play live. After playing up a few years with [program_tooltip program_id='2485818' first='George' last='Hill All Indy'], this 6'3" guard went to Overtime Elite before ever suiting up in the IHSAA. Now, he is back at Pike High School and will immediately be one of the top sophomores in the state of Indiana.

Admittedly, it feels a little crazy to have the freshman starting point guard from the 29-1 Class 4A State Champions ranked as the third best point guard now in the class. However, Zachary is fourth overall and despite being "just" 5'10" projects as a potential high-major prospect. His elite basketball IQ, ball handling, shot-making, and toughness translates to any level.

Craig ultimately projects just as well, or probably even better, off the ball as he does on the ball. However, for now, we still have listed as a point guard here at Prep Hoops Indiana. The 6'2" two-way guard jumped from #13 to #7 overall in this latest update and should start to get more and more collegiate interest. His size and strength in the backcourt is hard to match.

We are big [player_tooltip player_id='2267048' first='Harper' last='Baker-Lands'] fans here at Prep Hoops Indiana. The Top 10 overall prospect had a great freshman season at Class 4A Plainfield and recently earned an offer from Morehead State prior to his sophomore year. He is a true floor general with the ball in his hands and is one of the better defenders in the backcourt in the class.

A key contributor as a freshman on the Class 3A state runner-up team, King is coming off of an excellent summer where he solidified himself as a Top 10 prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Rankings. The South Bend St. Joseph point guard is very strong and athletic in the backcourt.

We are still just getting acquainted with this 6'1" guard that will suit up for Hammond Morton High School this season. Woods was so good in the vaunted Chicago Catholic League as a freshman though that we know he is a high-level prospect. We also had the opportunity to see him play briefly live at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June.

Hunter being ranked as the #8 point guard, but #12 prospect overall in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Rankings, shows how deep this position is in this class. Already holding a Division I offer from SIU-Edwardsville, Hunter parlayed a strong freshman season into a great summer with the Indiana Elite program. He is one of the best pure point guards in this class.
