Re-Ranking the Class 3A Sectional Champions

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Throughout the season, every Monday, we released our official Prep Hoops Indiana Class-by-Class Top 10 Polls. We will still put out a final poll after the season is over, but in the meantime let's re-rank the teams that are still alive. There are 16 Class 3A Sectional champions that are still alive. All five top five teams cut down the nets in their respective Sectionals. However, six, seven, and eight all got beat. None of the top five teams play each other so we could keep those teams intact into the Semi-State round.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are three Top 10 matchups from our re-rankings featuring Cathedral versus Brebeuf Jesuit, Northview versus Roncalli, and Princeton Community versus Evansville Bosse.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>West Lafayette (22-4) and Batesville (20-4) both had excellent regular seasons. However, they simply don't play the same sort of schedule that teams like Evansville Bosse, Roncalli, and New Haven do. That was our reasoning for filling in those final spots in the rankings. Delta (15-10) has won three straight Regionals so they certainly should not be counted out here.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mishawka Marian (17-7), East Chicago Central (14-12), and Hanover Central (12-14) round out the Class 3A teams that will take part in Saturday's Regional matchups.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Indiana will have boots on the ground coverage from the Greencastle High School Regional on Saturday afternoon and evening. That means we will have a chance to see the Class 3A matchup between Northview and Roncalli prior to the nightcap of Terre Haute North versus Columbus North.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
