He is a super tough guard that makes plays on the attacks and brings a ton of energy in the backcourt. He is one to keep an eye on this weekend in Kansas City.

One of the toughest and dynamic guards that I was able to get eyes on over the weekend at Run N Slam was Jake Grissom Jake Grissom 6'3" | PG Guerin Catholic | 2027 State IN . Coming out of Guerin Catholic HS, Grissom runs with the very talented UNRNKD 17U ECYL team and just brings a ton of energy in the backcourt for them. He is a quick, scrappy guard that has a first step that will blow past the defense and he will use his underrated athletic ability to try make a play at the rim. He is a play to keep an eye on the rest of the AAU season.

Grissom, generally know for his athleticism and ability to attack off of the dribble, shot the ball very well from three-point range in parts of the two games we watch on Saturday. The 6’3″ junior guard made five three-point shots and finished with a team-leading 19 points in UNRNKD’s loss to Indy Heat .

I think as far as pure playmakers in the Guerin Catholic and Crispus Attucks game, Jake Grissom Jake Grissom 6'3" | PG Guerin Catholic | 2027 State IN was the best on the floor. He set the tone almost right away with some tough buckets in some very tight angles. A very high IQ player, Grissom plays so physical in the lane while also being a guy that can knock it down from deep. He finished with a team-high 24 pts.

Guerin Catholic was one of just two teams that we watched twice on Friday and Grissom was the Golden Eagles’ leading scorer in both contests. The talented junior guard scored 17 points in their morning loss to Plainfield. Then, he put up 22 points to go along with 3 assists and 4 steals in their evening win over Castle.

A big part of their success has been 6’3″ junior guard Jake Grissom Jake Grissom 6'3" | PG Guerin Catholic | 2027 State IN . He was an Indiana Futures Game participant last season and a Junior All-Star candidate this season. Grissom is averaging a team-leading 18.3 points for the Golden Eagles who have won back-to-back games over Pendleton Heights and Lafayette Central Catholic.
