This Guerin Catholic floor general is one of the best pure point guards that you will find. He is an excellent passer, plays so hard at all times, and is a true leader on the floor. His communication skills are above those of most guys his age. College programs in search of a Class of 2027 point guard should be sure to check out Grand Park Premier Black 17u this weekend.

While guys like Murans and Grissom get the most attention on this Guerin Catholic team, you could make a strong case that junior guard Hayden Rodgers is the “head of the snake” for the Golden Eagles. He is one of the few players that has the ball in his hands the most for GC being the guy that often times initiates the offense. He is real solid being an aggressive attacker and loves to compete on the defensive end. The glue for this Geurin Catholic team in so many ways. He finished with 15 pts.

One of the best pure floor generals in the junior class, Rogers led his team to two wins over the weekend. He had 13 points and 3 assists in Guerin Catholic’s 61-40 win over Bishop Chatard on Friday. Then, on Saturday, the playmaking point guard scored 19 points to go along with 9 assists in a 60-51 wino over Heritage Christian. The Golden Eagles have a big game coming up Friday against Crispus Attucks.

Rogers is one of the two 2027s from Guerin Catholic on this list which goes to show you how talented that group is. Rogers may be the most talented of that entire group because his a shorter lead guard that is dynamic and has playmaking abilities. Super quick on the ball and is a great facilitator as well. Can his name on some radars this weekend.

Guerin Catholic has several very talented freshmen, but this 5’9″ point guard earned the most varsity minutes. He was a consistent backup ball handler who would take some pressure off of the Golden Eagles’ older playmakers that were more primary scoring options. Rogers did a great job of facilitating the basketball and was never overwhelmed by size or athleticism. Gained valuable experience.
