Guerin Catholic was one of the first teams we got eyes on at Indiana on Saturday and Murans was one of the first prospects to stand out. The 6’7″ wing knocked in a catch-and-shoot three, something he does consistently now, made an athletic finish in transition, and drove it to the paint for a tough intermediate range finish. He continues to flash more and more of his upside and do so more and more consistently.

. The 6’8 smooth wing is one of the top players on a very talented Guerin Catholic team that will be in action on Saturday at the IU Team Camp. Murans is coming off a strong spring with UNRNKD Hoops 27U ECYL where he once again showcased his elite scoring ability and athletic ability out of the perimeter. Murans is a highly productive player in multiple areas of the floor and could be in for a breakout summer, perhaps starting this weekend.

. Murans was been a bright spot on the wing for them this spring with his length and athleticism. Murans is also one of the smoothest shooters for his size in the Indiana Class of 2027, as well. A rising player to watch this weekend.

Murans certainly isn’t under-the-radar to us, he is ranked #25 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Rankings, but this 6’7″ wing has played his best basketball of late for Guerin Catholic. The Golden Eagles won their 12th straight game on Wednesday night defeating Frankfort 81-36. This talented junior scored a game-high 24 points on perfect 11-11 shooting.

is probably at the top of that list. While he is likely to be more of a wing/hybrid forward long-term, Murans played a lot of post for the Golden Eagles and was extremely effective around the basket. With his length, he is one of the more fluid players his size in the state being about to make tough buckets against contact. Even though he has a thinner frame, he plays with such a tough, high motor. He finished with 11 pts.

The breakout junior year that many of us were predicting for Murans to have is certainly playing out. A 6’7″ forward for Guerin Catholic High School, Murans is averaging 14.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the 4-2 Golden Eagles. His confidence has really shown both through his improved three-point shooting ability and his willingness to attack the basket while absorbing some contact. Look for Murans to continue to take off throughout this season.
