In order to give a thorough breakdown of the many standouts from the event, I will be rolling out standouts all weeks in the different classes. Here's part four of four for some of the many junior standouts from VA teams in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459361' first='Caleb' last='Straughter'] | 6'6” WF | Varina

Straughter emerged last year as a prospect to watch for Varina, and this year he's going to be looked at to be a go-to guy for them and he showed he's more than capable of doing that at the Fall Series. He's continuing to grow as he looks like a legit 6'6” now and his length gives him huge potential on the defensive end, he shoots the ball very well off the catch from deep, he can get downhill and out in transition where he can use his athleticism and he just keeps getting better and better.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767550' first='Andrew' last='Maria'] | 6'4” CG | Bethel Academy

Maria transferred to Bethel where he reclassified to the 2026 class after being a standout at Yorktown the last few years, and he's one of the most underrated guards in the entire DMV. At 6'4” he has great size and showed a fantastic skill set to go along with it, he uses great footwork and fakes when he gets to his spots to get clean looks off, he hit shots from all over the floor with efficiency and he made plays for others as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2561115' first='Jack' last='Castner'] | 6'4” WG | CBG Elite (Western Albemarle)

Castner came to play with CBG Elite after hearing about his big sophomore season at Western Albemarle, and he showed he's one of the best players in the Charlottesville area and is poised for a huge junior season. At 6'4” he has long arms and prototypical size on the wing, he is a dead eye shooter who showed the ability to set his feet on the move and use fakes on close outs to get open, he showed good range from deep and he competed on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1446198' first='Carmelo' last='Swinson'] | 6'2” CG | EPL Elite (Massanutten)

Swinson transfers to Massanutten from Norcom where he was one of the top guards in the 757 and he'll play up on their post grad team, and he showed he could be one of their top scorers this season. He's a natural scorer who has good wiggle off the bounce and created space in isolation situations, he made shots from all three levels including tough step backs and pull-ups with the ball in his hands and he showed great instincts as a playmaker and defender too.

Kyan Hill | 6'8” PF | EPL Elite (Massanutten)

Hill is another new addition to Massanutten coming from Georgia, and he was impressive in his VA debut showing he'll be a force in the Elite Prep League this year. The 6'8” power forward is a physical force who's very strong in the paint and showed the ability to clear out space and finish through contact with ease, he showed good touch out to the three-point line, was great in post-up situations and was a force on the glass as well.

Jayden Johnson | 6'2” WG | EPL Elite (Roanoke Catholic)

Johnson came to play for a CBG team from Roanoke and he showed he'll be one of the top players in the Roanoke area this season. The 6'2” lefty showed he's a talented shot maker with range from deep off the catch, he got to spots in the midrange off the bounce and used fakes to create space and make tough shots and he showed good instincts defensively jumping passing lanes and challenging shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1588139' first='Connor' last='Lyons'] | 6'7” PF | CBG Select (STAB)

Lyons had a huge summer with STAB and Team Loaded showing he's one of the best shooters in the 2026 class, and he continued that showing with CBG Select at the Fall Series. The 6'7" forward showed great confidence letting it fly in transition and showing his range well beyond the three-point line, he showed improvement in his handle and ability to create shots off the bounce and he showed he's a good passer as well.
