We've recently updated our senior class rankings in the state, with over 200 players ranked and plenty of new names and movement throughout the rankings. Here's a look at part one of some of the players who rose in the rankings with their play this summer and fall heading into the season.

McGee came to Gillian over the summer from Florida, and he immediately made a statement in the area with his play in the DMV Live sessions, and the Arkansas State commit looks like a guy who will be in the high major ranks within the next couple of years. The 6'4” guard plays with an all-out motor that allows him to make plays on both ends of the floor, he's a tough shot maker from multiple levels, he is an explosive finisher when he gets downhill, and he impacts the game in so many ways that lead to winning it makes him a huge asset to his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459209' first='Justin' last='Edwards'] | 6'5” SG | Bishop O'Connell

Current Rank: #19

Edwards has been someone we've had on our radar and in our rankings since he was a freshman, but watching him from the time of the state championships last year and all the way through the fall, he's made huge strides and is looking like he'll be a steal for whatever college gets him. The 6'5” off guard has a fantastic frame and uses it to bully his way in the paint for finishes, he's an excellent rebounder for his position and makes a lot of positive hustle plays, he can knock down open shots from deep off the catch, and he's really rounded out his scoring package over the past few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1963533' first='Ryan' last='Brzezanski'] | 6'7” PF | Broad Run

Current Rank: #26

Brzezanski takes the biggest leap in this ranking, as he went from being recruited by mostly division three schools to committing to Mount St. Mary's after a huge summer where he showed tons of growth both in his athleticism and his production. The 6'8” big man grew into his body and started running the floor and finishing above the rim effortlessly, he can stretch the floor with his shooting ability, and he has a huge upside defensively with his ability to move his feet on the perimeter and protect the rim as a shot blocker too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2612850' first='Jafet' last='Valencia'] | 6'6” SF | Evergreen Christian

Current Rank: #28

While Valencia's drop rise was only five spots it would have been closer to eight if it wasn't for new additions to the rankings, and the Delaware commit has been nothing but steady and productive throughout the fall since his breakout summer on the recruitment trail. The 6'6” wing is such a tough guard due to his versatility as he can play on and off the ball and score it from all three levels, he can post smaller wings and score it in the paint, he's a very good passer who can see over the defense and deliver passes on point, and he has a good IQ on the defensive end too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252294' first='Jemon' last='Price'] | 6'2” PG | Westfield

Current Rank: #37

Price is set for a huge senior season on a Westfield team that could compete for a state championship this year, and if he plays the way he played this fall he could be a contender for state player of the year as well. The 6'2” guard has polished his game quite a bit with a tight handle and the ability to create space and make shots from multiple levels, he sets the tone with his intensity and toughness on the defensive end, he scores the ball in bunches and has a knack for hitting big shots, and he gets to the rim at will and gets to the line often as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2618849' first='Collin' last='Bowles'] | 6'2” CG | Massaponax

Previous Rank: #75

Current Rank: #52

Bowles has steadily climbed our rankings since he burst on to the scene going into his junior year, and he's shown time and time again he's one of the top shooters in the state, and after a big summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2078813' first='VA' last='Premier'] he recently committed to D2 powerhouse Shippensburg in Pennsylvania. The 6'2” combo is an absolute assassin from deep with a quick release and deep range, he shoots it at a very high clip both off the catch and off the bounce, he takes care of the ball and works well in ball screens, and he consistently makes the right play on both ends of the floor.
