A true physical force with a skillset and touch from the outside that is showing really rapid progress as he’s nearly done with his high school career. Allmond will be highly motivated the rest of the week to get Petersburg out of here with a 2-1 record.

Allmond scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds and looked like one of the best forwards in the country. He has inside/outside versatility at the offensive end and is mobile, athletic, and strong enough to bring versatility to the defensive end of the floor as well.

Allmond announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Monday after a heck of a 48 hours heading into his decision date. Maryland came in with a late push and hosted the 6-foot-8 forward on an official visit last weekend and hoped to sway him away from the believed leader at the time in Oklahoma State. I was told on Sunday night, Allmond was still unsure as to where he’d officially commit to and would decide to sleep on it. Ultimately it was the Cowboys who earned the pledge of Allmond, who projects next to Smith as one of the few prospects who can impact winning at a high major level from the first day he steps on campus.

One of the more highly touted guys in attendance showcased his full skillset while getting his team to the championship. He showed a more fluid handle and hit a few more jump shots than he did the last time viewing him. But when his team needed a play made in the big moments he was ultimately the one who got it done.
