The wing helped lead Team Loaded to the adidas 15U 3SSB championship, averaging nearly 11 points and more than three rebounds per game during July. He has good length and above average athleticism and is at his best getting downhill and attacking the rim. He plays with a high motor and consistently contributes on the glass, while also bringing good activity and versatility on the defensive end. His combination of length, athleticism, motor and ability to impact the game in multiple ways gives him plenty of value as a prospect.

Niles Mason Niles Mason 6'6" | SF The Steward School | 2029 State VA is my personal favorite player I have covered this summer, and it’s easy to see why. He has a relentless motor that simply helps his team win games down the stretch. Niles is a 6’6 wing who excels at getting to the rim in transition or off the dribble. He plays beyond his years by using his length, athleticism, and physicality to his advantage. He has improved his efficiency from beyond the arc and established himself as a mismatch nightmare for opponents because he has the ability to score from anywhere. What stands out to me most about his game is his ability to defend any position, whether it be a post player or a guard; he is quick enough to stay with guards and physical enough to guard bigger players. Every time he steps on the court, he leaves it all on the court, and he will have a very strong sophomore year for The Steward School.

One of Virginia’s top wing prospects in the 2029 recruiting class, Mason averaged 10.9 points per game for the Team Loaded, the adidas 3ssb 15u Champions. The rising sophomore has good length, is an above average athlete and can really get downhill. He can rebound and defend and provides plenty of value as a prospect.

Niles is one of my favorite kids I’ve had the chance to evaluate multiple times this summer, as he just always seems to do the right things for himself and for his team. Niles is a very athletic wing who excels at getting downhill to his spots, or at knocking down jump shots. Niles has improved as a ball-handler and a decision-maker all summer long. Niles will be a very good division 1 player in the future with his overall skillset, and how he never takes a possession off.

Niles is easily one of the most talented players in the state regardless of class. He is a 6’6 wing who can score from all 3 levels, whether he’s creating for himself, knocking down mid-range jumpers, or shooting the 3; he has all the tools to be one of the best players to come out of VA in a very long time. Niles has the physical makeup to be a high-level college player already, and he is only a rising sophomore. He already holds Division 1 offers and will continue to get more here soon with all the intangibles he brings.

Mason had an impressive spring with Team Loaded on the adidas 3SSB circuit. He is a high flying wing with positional size. He is at his most productive inside the arc at this point but his perimeter shooting and ball skills seem to be trending up, which could take him to the next level as a prospect.

Averaged nearly 12 points and 7 rebounds per game over four contests in California, leading the team on the glass. An athletic, versatile forward, he finishes above the rim and does most of his scoring inside the arc. He defends multiple positions and consistently plays with a high motor, impacting the game on both ends.

His frame at his age is extremely impressive, and the fact that he still has so much room to develop in that aspect alone makes his potential high. He takes pride in guarding the teams best defender and is an absolute threat in transition.

He embraces the challenge of guarding the opposing team’s best player and competes at a high level defensively. His length and athleticism allow him to disrupt plays, and he consistently brings energy on that end.

Offensively, Mason excels in transition and when attacking downhill. He plays with purpose, makes strong decisions, and understands how to operate within the flow of the game. What stands out most is his ability to produce without needing to be a primary option. He finds gaps, makes hustle plays, and is always in the right place at the right time.

Mason is the definition of a plug-and-play prospect — versatile, tough, and impactful. Expect him to turn more heads as the summer progresses.
