Expert Analysis

Maybe the top performance I saw all day, Womack knocked down four 3-pointers in the first half with three coming from the same spot in the left corner and the last being a four-point play for his team. With a long wingspan and a high release point, Womack could knock down shots over late contests, and this wingspan gives him defensive upside down the road. Down three with five seconds left in regulation, Womack knocked down a cold-blooded step-back 3-pointer to send the game to overtime and then in overtime with his team down one hit a tough isolation move on his defender to score at the rim and win the game. Incredible performance to secure the victory for his team.

Womack is showing how lethal he can be as the bonafide go-to option with Team Loaded South 16u 3SSB. He helped lead the group to a 2-2 finish on the weekend while averaging 18.8 Points, 1.3 Rebounds, 0.8 Assists, and 0.8 Steals per game on 38/32/86 shooting splits. Womack should be able to find a way to improve upon his efficiency and impact beyond scoring but understands the task at hand as the primary self creator for this group. Womack can flat out take a game over scoring the basketball and as he finds a way to improve the efficiency, he’ll continue to shine for this group.

Womack is a premier shooter in The State of North Carolina and cemented his status as one of those guys with the way he helped lead West Charlotte to a State Championship. Luckily for his Team Loaded South 3SSB group, that momentum carried over and Womack helped lead the charge as they captured a championship at The Big Shots Rise Tip-Off. Womack is a guy that you cannot let get comfortable with open jumpers because he’s simply too good and will make you pay for leaving him. Womack is legit 6’5″ now allowing him to shoot over smaller defenders with ease. Womack finished with 19 in the championship win over Harvest Development with his full scoring arsenal on display. Expect Womack to get more and more national recruiting attention as he continues to stack big performances like this.

Womack continues to look like one of the better young guards in the state. He’s got good size, plays through contact, and finishes well in transition. What stood out most was his confidence—he didn’t look out of place at all and produced consistently, especially in the championship.

Womack will be playing this spring/summer with Team Loaded South 3SSB after an incredible season at West Charlotte where he helped lead his team to a State Championship as a sophomore. Womack’s ability to make shots from different areas on the floor at his size, attack closeouts with control, and provide a ton of positive impact on the defensive end of the floor provide an incredible foundation for him as a prospect. He’s a natural off ball guard but is capable of operating as an initiator or creator. Womack has a game that will translate well to the eyes that evaluate from a college coaches and scouts perspective. Womack’s blend of production and potential will shine this spring/summer and his physical gifts will continue to blossom.

Womack continues to impress for West Charlotte on this massive playoff run in the 8A division with his poise and outside shot-making. On the season for West Charlotte, Womack is averaging 17.7 Points, 4.0 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists, and 0.9 Steals per game on 45/40/82 shooting splits. Womack has a real chance to be a 50/40/90 guy at some point in his high school career. West Charlotte got the 2 seed and secured a bye but faced crosstown foe East Meck in their first game of the playoffs and handled business with relative ease, Womack pitched in 15 Points in the win. In their 2nd game vs South Meck, Womack’s 15 Points felt much bigger as he made incredibly timely shots as he connected on three triples in what was a narrow 5 point victory for West Charlotte. Womack’s ability to fit in as piece, be incredibly productive and efficient in his shots, and still getting better every time we see him makes him an incredibly appealing prospect in NC’s 2028 class.
