About Aaron
Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
At Gillion Academy, the Arkansas State signee has continued to elevate his senior season, producing consistently against national-level competition. McGee is a versatile, above-average athlete on the wing who scores effectively at all three levels — stretching the defense from deep, operating comfortably in the midrange, and finishing strong at the rim. He creates offense off the bounce with confidence, attacking defensive gaps and using pace and body control to generate quality shots.
His impact extends well beyond scoring. McGee brings value on the defensive end with his length, lateral quickness, and ability to guard multiple positions. He competes on the glass, plays passing lanes, and embraces two-way responsibility. The combination of skill, athletic tools, and consistent production continues to validate his projection as a ready contributor at the next level.

17p 4r 1a 1s vs Clinton Grace
-The athleticism really stood out this weekend on his drives to the basket and the ease with which he recovered well to block shots from behind at the rim. McGee was also relocating to space well and knocking down perimeter jumpers to lead his team in this one. Good body, solid frame, good vertical pop on a 2-handed alley oop finish in transition. Love how aggressive he is defensively, he stays in front of his man without using his hands and generates a ton of steals and deflections to create easy transition points at the other end of the floor.

Aaron impacted the win vs Clinton Grace tremendously with his athleticism. He was rising over contests and skying in for rebounds at a rate rate. Aaron showed he could create off the dribble well but was very patient with his shot this game. Liked the way he looked for his teammates and kept the ball moving to the hot hands, but took every shot the defense gave him.
