[player_tooltip player_id='2120028' first='Malachi' last='Ashford'] fell out of the top ten after missing all of the summer with a broken leg suffered in the regional tournament in March. Now cleared and ready to play, Malachi is eager to get his spot back and perhaps move even higher. Early in his career, Ashford showed he can score at a high rate when he was at Paris. Last season, he showed he can be as much of a creator and facilitator as his game continues to improve. Hopefully Malachi has an injury free season and is able to remind people of what he can do.

Bryan Station's [player_tooltip player_id='1565985' first='Amari' last='Owens'] just earned his first scholarship offer as he was offered by EKU at their elite camp last week. Owens is quick and an excellent finisher at the rim. Left handed, Amari is very reliant on using his left to get downhill and finish but he continues to improve his off hand. One of the better scorers in Lexington, Amari has a bright future for the Defenders.

Lloyd Memorial point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2248846' first='Anthony' last='Blaackar'] may be the quickest point guard in the class and excels at attacking the rim and finishing through contact. The biggest hole in his game is that Blaackar doesn't like to shoot from range. He only attempted 6 threes last season but made 2 of them. This summer, Anthony attempted more threes. If he adds a consistent three pointer to his offensive arsenal, Blaackar will be one of the toughest players to guard in the entire class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1543629' first='Dayvone' last='Harrison'] is one of the biggest transfers in Louisville this season as he is headed to Jeffersontown from Moore. Day Day excels as a driver but is an adequate shooter and underrated passer. Harrison knows how to guard and uses his lateral quickness to keep everything in front of him. Jeffersontown has aspirations of returning to Rupp Arena and Harrison can help lead them there.

[player_tooltip player_id='1705952' first='Jayden' last='Washington'] of CAL will play high school basketball without his brothers for the first time this season. As a player, that may be the best thing for Jayden as he will get the chance to prove he can score and impact winning at the same level that his older brothers did. Washington could be getting overlooked as a potential top guard in Louisville this season. He's definitely one to watch!
