Selected as the KABC 6th Region POY and thus, a Kentucky Mr. Basketball finalist, Harrison has been one of most consistent players in the state. JTown covets its fourth trip to the Sweet 16 in only five years, and they’ll need Harrison to do what he does best to get there. Pairing a lighting quick first step with a profound understanding of angles, he gets to his spots with ease. Combine that with a comfortability in the midrange and an ability to make plays for his teammates. JTown is arguably the most reasonable 6th Region champion favorite and “Day Day” is largely responsible.

Day Day had a quiet day but scored the ball efficiently overall. Just as much of a facilitator as he is a scorer these days, J-Town will only go as far as Harrison leads them. He and Owens was a fun matchup at times as they were really going at each other on the offensive end.

One of the best isolation scorers in the state, Harrison didn’t play AAU this summer so his recruitment has stagnated a little bit. Heading into the Senior season where he’s likely to be the front runner for 6th region player of the year, Harrison is the engine that drives J-Town and should see his recruiting take off this season.

Harrison is one of the best isolation scorers in the state, period. Day Day is quick with the ball and knows how to finish around the bucket with a great layup package. At the next level, Harrison needs to become more of a creator for his teammates. Similar to Woodfork above, Dayvone would be at his best as a facilitator who doesn’t need to score as much.

Jeffersontown did an excellent job of forcing turnovers and scoring off steals in transition. Harrison was one of the main engines behind that force as he’s a quick guard who can score it in transition. Able to get to the rim or knock down shots around the paint with quick jump stops and floaters, Harrison can get going in a hurry. When Jeffersontown was pouring it on in the second half, Harrison had a couple 3-pointers to help his team expand on the lead. With the amount of athleticism and quickness Jeffersontown has, they can turn you over and score on the fast break in a hurry.

J-Town may lead the state in transfers this year as several players made their way to play for the Chargers. Day Day Harrison is a supreme talent who is wired to score in bunches. The reason he’s the X factor is that the Moore transfer will be surrounded with talent this year. How will he play when he doesn’t have to score 25+ for his team to win? That’s one of the more interesting subplots in the 6th region this season.

One of the better scoring guards in Louisville, Harrison carried the load for Moore the last two seasons and should continue doing much of the same for J-Town this season. Harrison is a quick and shifty guard and a really good finisher around the rim. Jeffersontown is always in the mix for a regional title and that won’t change as long as Day Day is there.

Day Day is one of the top Sophomore guards in Louisville and has had some big scoring nights for Moore this season. Harrison has a quick first step and is shifty off the bounce. He excels at getting into the paint and has an above average finishing package.
