The highest frontcourt prospect on the board for this class, Fiedler is a skilled finisher in the paint, all too strong. There are only a handful of prospects in the region with his positional strength, multifaceted on either end of the floor. Defensively, he is a brick wall at the point attack, stifling post ups by taller opponents. Fiedler keeps defenses honest, effective at 36% behind the arc, primarily attempting open spot-up attempts. His continued growth in his scoring toolbox will be a large determination of his offensive upside, already he brings a great basis.
Highlights
A steady role player, notching minutes at either the 4 or 5 for the 6A finals runner-up, Paine brings plenty of intrigue stepping into a hugely different role next season. Although on small volume throughout the season, he was an efficient finisher around the rim, bringing in a slow pace of play to get past the defense. He remains a high floor defender whose high feel for the game leaves plenty of intrigue to his full potential.
Highlights
A capable rim roller and interior defender, Speckman brings above average verticality within the state for 6’8+ forwards. Effective swatting away shot attempts at the rim, he is a consistently threatening help side defender given his mobility and bounce. He is continuing to progress as a passer from the elbows and low post, actively facilitating kick outs to shotmakers. Offensively, he brings soft touch around the rim, at his best when rolling hard to the basket.
Williams is among the most skilled forwards in this class, bringing in shotmaking upside as a stretch big. At showcase events, the forward has so much potential on the offensive end, both spacing the floor or attacking closeouts off the dribble.
Highlights
One of the most impactful rebounders and shot blockers in the state, Junker has catapulted himself into the conversation for best prospects in this class. Playing a valuable role in Mountain Vista’s regular season success, he is more than just a system player. He brought notable interior defense against the state’s best frontcourt opponents, disciplined with his positioning versus scoring threats. He does well to position himself in beneficial defensive positions, forcing opponents into help or tight angles when attempting to score at the rim. His continued growth on the offensive end will be essential to his full potential.
Highlights
Bringing in a high motor in the paint, Roselle looks to assert position around the rim, rarely stationary once the shot goes up. A wiry strong defender in the paint, he does an excellent job holding his own in the post.
A mobile forward, Mbadinga-Nzamba brings plenty of intrigue defending a wide variety of opponents. As a slasher, he remains an athletic finisher at the rim, capable of drawing fouls in the paint.
