One of the most prolific two-way guards in recent memory, Austin remains one of the premier backcourt prospects available. Holding a variety of offers from MSU Denver, CSU Pueblo, Murray State College, Otero, and a few other programs. He remains one of the best backcourt defenders in this class, tenacious going for steals at the point of attack. Leading the state in points per game and top-3 in steals, Austin remains a sure thing at the next level.

There are few, if any guards in recent memory who have filled up the stat sheet quite like Austin. For perspective, the guard has put up 20 or more points in all but three of his games this season. Although scoring is just one of Austin’s myriad of skills, it is arguably the most eye opening. Recently garnering an offer from CSU Pueblo, the guard has quite a few opportunities at hand going into this year’s playoffs.

Austin is a guard that was tearing it up all summer and took that momentum into the season. He is averaging 33.2 and is an inside the arc maestro being able to stop and pop or get to the rim and finish through contact. He can make defenders pay off of the dribble if they leave him too much space and can create his own shot. He has great vision and can create space to find the open teammate.

Austin has been nothing short of excellent throughout the summer and previous season with Pueblo South. Pushing that team to a Great 8 appearance, the lead guard does just about everything you could ask for. Through high level decision making under chaotic circumstances, Austin finds ways to blow past the defense for finishes around the rim or quick pull-ups. Given the immense gravity he commands, Austin has been consistent passing out of double teams, finding the open man. Defensively, he is strong against bigger opponents, leveraging his low center of gravity to hold his position. Another area of value has been his ability to read the opponents, snatching passes in traffic to get going in transition.

Austin was a one man show Sunday afternoon during Top 250 Expo, he made an instant impact when he stepped foot on the floor. The energy he is able to bring to each game makes his teammates want it play harder, he is vocal on the defensive end of he floor, he staying in passing lanes and is always in help side. Offensively he scored from all 3 levels of the floor taking whatever the defense would give him.

Arguably one of the best guards in the state Austin is on a mission to prove it this year. He just balled out with a 40 game recently and has been making a big impact on the defensive end as well. Austin is averaging 5.8 steals a game and he is doing it consistently no matter who he is playing. Austin is a great all-around player and is no surprise that he has made this list as he is a great defender.

as a sophomore led his team to the 4A championship and will be looking to have a big junior year. Standing at 5’8 Maurice is a better rebounder than many players much taller than him. After grabbing a rebound Maurice loves to push the pace always keeping his eyes up looking for cutting teammates. Maurice plays with flair, making acrobatic layups and no-look passes look easy.
