Vigil is a player who I feel had a bit of a glow up last Summer/Fall when he got out to events for exposure and showed he not only could fit in, but stand out. He dominated in our showcase and had high expectations heading into the season. Vigil had an up-and-down season, but later in the season, he found a groove and did not look bad. Pueblo South went on a 6-game winning streak to close out league play, won their conference, and leaned on him to be the lead guard and leader on the floor. He put up 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2.5 assists a game, and had 2.5 steals to go along with it. He has solid stature, powers through smaller guy,s and uses his size against smaller guards. While he’s a capable shooter, he made it a point to get to the rim and attack players. He plays above his size, and I think that he will have a big season where he gets back on more radars. We hope to see him at the showcase yet again and for him to ride that momentum into the Fall.

fully immerses himself in the Pueblo South defensive system, lurking in passing lanes and awaiting steals by the second. Vigil’s pace and tempo impress me the most, utilizing his shifty handles to dictate where he wants to go on the hardwood. The 5’10 junior has put on some serious muscle over the past couple of years, and it’s added multiple layers to his overall gameplay. Able to absorb contact and earn trips to the foul stripe frequently, the 44% scorer from the field looks to stay in attack mode in this high-stakes contest facing a tough Lewis-Palmer squad.

has risen up to the occasion for the Pueblo South Colts this season, and you can attribute almost 11 PPG, 2.7 SPG, and a 56% 3PT shooter to his bag of expertise as a junior. The 5’10 elusive guard will blow by his matchup and attack the rim with force and intention. Scoring comes naturally for Vigil, making an immediate impact on the offensive end of the hardwood. He takes his time, slices past defenders, and nails difficult looks from the mid-range or way downtown. Expect Vigil to turn it up a notch for the 6-4 Colts this year, yearning to get back on a consistent win basis.

Christian is a player who had himself quite the summer as he jumped on many radars with his ability to take over from the guard position. Vigil is a strong guard that overpowers smaller defenders, has a strong mid-range game, and is a creative scorer inside. He is a downhill attacker who can create for himself and teammates on the move and is an in-your-face defender who baits opposing guards into bad passes and forced turnovers. Vigil is going to be a player that we expect to get plenty of varsity minutes this season, and will be a name that many more get to know. It should be a productive season for him this year and that is why he jumps on our rankings this next go round.
