took fire in the close loss against Rock Canyon, owning the paint and asserting his size, resulting in easy looks inside. Junker thrives in Mountain Vista’s dynamic offensive system, where he enjoys crashing the glass and capitalizing on key second-chance opportunities. Tacking on 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals, it’s clear that Junker has elevated his game to new heights on the Flyers this past AAU season. The Golden Eagles are sitting just fine at 15-4 despite the loss, and Junker looks confident as ever.

has transformed and expanded his style of play to new levels, leveraging his size and agility to score at will inside. Contributing a nightly double-double to Mountain Vista’s dynamic squad, Junker is proving once again why he’s a top-five big man in the state. Not to mention, Junker is a 43% shooter from downtown, therefore giving him an inch of room to operate is a poor idea.

Junker is a walking double-double who uses his size and strength to get the best out of guys, but what stands out about him is his willingness to compete. He does not give up on plays, he plays hard on every possession, and he’s a skilled big man with soft touch around the rim. He grabs rebounds that are out of his position and goes right up with the ball. As a junior, he put up 15.4 points and 11 rebounds a game, but now steps into a spot where he will have to be the scoring option, so I expect him to be more aggressive on that front. Junker runs the floor well, makes the right decision when he gets the ball, and is the top big man in the conference.

Junker made up one of the best duos in the state as a junior, as he averaged a double-double on the season. He put up 15.4 points and 11.3 rebounds a game as he was ultimately named to 2nd Team All-State. He also had 2.8 blocks to show his two-way dominance and was a big reason that Mountain Vista made so much noise last year. This year, they want to go further, and it will be on the shoulders of their best player. They feel they have unfinished business and have the group to compete with anybody in the state, and from what we saw from him this summer, he’s ready for the season. The North Dakota State commit rounds out the Top-5.

continues to showcase why he’s one of the best power forwards in the state. Junker’s ability to maintain patience with the ball and make the right decision is special. From scoring relentlessly to crashing the boards, Juker is a do-it-all center that coaches can count on for a constant flow of production.

Junker is exactly as good as advertised. The guy can do it all. In his team’s semi-final loss, he put up 16 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, dished out 3 assists, and blocked 5 shots. His size and athleticism are a perfect combo, letting him score from pretty much anywhere on the court. His 3-point shooting is on point, and he can bang down low with the big guys to get any bucket he wants. What really stands out about Junker is the control and pace he plays with. He always knows when to make his move, and when he does, he gets his body in the right position to score. I’m expecting big things from him next season – he’ll definitely help put his team right back in the championship mix

is one of Mountain Vista’s key playmakers that gives 100% effort throughout the entirety of a game. Junker exceeded against Loveland, putting up a triple double. Having an all around big who can elevate on both ends like Junker is a massive plus. Look for Junker to continue this level of production against Arapahoe in the sweet 16.

Junker continued to provide dependable interior defense, boasting quick instincts to rotate on time. Leveraging his wide reach and strength to remind us that he remains one of the state’s best rim protectors, in large part from the motor. The rebounding remains a key attribute to his game, dependable flying all over for second chance opportunities against ball watching defenses. He remains a dependable finisher around the rim with either hand, contributing a few off-balance finishes at full speed with the off-hand. Junker’s comfort pivoting against opposing contact makes the forward such an efficient finisher in the paint.

The forward was a force around the rim, comfortable rolling for two-handed dunks. He gets so many looks down low due to his speed out of ball screens, quick to dive deep into the paint. Defensively, he worked to deflect entry passes in the low post. Junker’s activity on both ends are nothing new, but a positive sign for Mountain Vista’s outlook this coming season.

Junker’s motor and defensive instincts allow Mountain Vista to be a pest for opponents, creating excellent opportunities down low. Already a skilled downhill and post scoring option, he continues to add to his list of counters one on one. Defensively, there is no wonder as to how he was among the most productive shot blockers in the state, boasting a limitless motor.
