From some outstanding squads, to some serious stock risers, to some new names we need to get eyes on, there’s a whole lot to cover. The great news is, with the drop in events, we’re going to be starting a new series to discuss the season as a whole. Today’s article will be covering a few of our favorite stockrisers in the group, whether it’s 2024s making a statement for college coaches, or 2026s putting their names on the map for the first time.

Crump had a huge Peach Jam with Team United, showing schools why he should still be on their radars as a stretch big with a strong frame to play inside and out. He’s got a really smooth shot and great footwork, which allows him to make difficult shots as well as be effective as a pick and pop threat. Inside he can bang with big men, play out of the post, and fight under the basket to rebound and make space for his teammates. He’s got a good post hook and other simple moves that should serve him well. On the defensive side he’s solid, if unremarkable, but his frame and height make him an able post defender who can keep bigs out of the interior. His floor spacing ability and continued effectiveness as a scorer should entice more looks as he gets back on track with his health.
Steinback is emerging out of the 336 area as someone for coaches to consider as a springy forward who has dominated the grassroots circuit for his Mid State Magic team. He’s super explosive around the rim and has been effective all summer whenever I’ve watched him in action. Catching lobs, running the floor, and slashing off his own dribble are all methods for him to get to the hoop. On defense he is super solid at the rim and cleaning up opponents misses. He will have a big year at Asheboro and should become a local target for coaches to focus on.
Bowden is certainly going to be a riser in our next rankings update, as a strong summer with Team Curry got him 4 Division 1 offers and plenty more attention. He’s a smooth point guard that’s always been a downhill driver and can either finish at the rim himself or find teammates from the gravity he brings. Not many guards make plays as well as he does in his class with his kind of intelligence and awareness. However, his jumper has continued to come along to where defenses are having to give him credit for it. He can get to a pull up or a catch and shoot 3 instead of immediately looking to put the ball on the floor, which makes his scouting report much more complex. He should be a big piece at UFCA this year with the ball in his hands a lot.
Bouie seems like he will be the next big product to lead JL Chambers after the departures of Jordan Patton Jordan Patton 6’5″ | SF JL Chambers | 2024 State NC and Maurio Hanson Maurio Hanson 6’7″ | PF JL Chambers | 2024 State NC . He’s a rapidly improving combo guard/wing, with a long, thin frame that can disrupt the game in a variety of different ways. He’s slashing very well and providing a lot of intrigue as an efficient scorer. However, he’s shown more facilitating ability this summer, making more refined decisions with the ball and putting teammates in a position to score. With his size and length, he could potentially be a gamebreaking, oversized combo guard that causes matchup problems in all sorts of situations. He should be someone to watch this upcoming season make a big contribution.
Highlights
Rechetnikov is purely one of the best shooters in the state and should get a lot more eyes on him this upcoming year. He’s got impressive range from deep with a really pure shot, hallmarks of being a 2 guard at the next level. He also is legitimately sized at 6’4, and has a solid frame that can be expanded on in order to become a more physical defender. Passing lanes become dangerous when he’s in them as he’s become better as a defender over the course of the summer. There’s a lot to like with a kid who can shoot the cover off it, has a college ready frame, and is making strides on both ends of the floor.
