The 6-foot-1 shifty floor general produced 15.7 points, 4.0 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game on 53 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from deep as he continues to develop his game. He recently worked out for Stony Brook University and drew interest from Southern Illinois as he continues to emerge as a DI target on the recruiting scene. He’s a prospect to keep a close eye on over the next few months.

Bowden is a point guard already drawing D1 interest from the likes of Mount St. Mary’s and Iona at Ambassdor Christian School. He’s putting up 16.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game on 54 percent shooting fron the field and 42 percent from range with his squad at 9-4 on the season. He’s done well to showcase his efficiency as well as his playmaking ability in leading their backcourt this season. He’s a PG worthy of attention from more D1 programs across the Southeast region.

Bowden is growing into quite the D1 prospect for Ambassador Christian School in Year 1. He’s putting up 15.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game as they’re on a 3-game winning streak heading into the second half of the season. He’s a strong-framed presence who isn’t afraid to defend as well as make things happen both shooting and distributing the ball.
He’s a consistent force for D1’s in need of s true floor general.

He showed he can play an unselfish brand of basketball in 2023-24 with United Faith Christian in producing 6.5 APG, to rank ninth in the state, according to MaxPreps. He also averaged 16.6 PPG, 4.3 RPG and 1.6 SPG while shooting 50 percent from the field and 35 percent from deep. JD Bowden JD Bowden 6'1" | PG Ambassador Christian | 2025 State NC is probably one of the biggest stock risers as he moves from No. 183 to No. 25 following a productive season with United Faith Christian Academy which saw them make it to the NCISAA State Title game. He’s a high-level point guard prospect to keep eyes on given his pedigree for playmaking. He produced 16.6 PPG, 6.5 APG, 4.3 RPG and 1.6 SPG for the Falcons on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 35 percent from behind the arc on the year. He’s due for a big summer on the grassroots scene with Top Shot Basketball following his All-State season. Western Carolina has offered him.

JD Bowden JD Bowden 6'1" | PG Ambassador Christian | 2025 State NC has United Faith Christian Academy playing well at 9-3 as he runs things at the point guard spot. He’s currently posted 16.3 PPG, 7.0 APG, 3.8 RPG and 1.3 SPG through their first 12 games as he shows off what he can do in the backcourt. At 6-foot-1, he’s got a nice feel for finding his scorers in space as evidenced by his assists production. He went for 29 points and 11 assists despite a 93-82 loss to Cannon School this past week as well. He’s another guard prospect in the state for DI and DII programs in the region to take a look at.
