Rosser was impressive in his EYBL debut with Team United as they took home the Platinum Championship in Session I. He’s got a good for the game inside and out as he finished with 18 points and six rebounds and a block on 4-of-8 shooting from deep and 6-of-11 from the overall field. His time on varsity with Northern Nash this past season as a freshman proved valuable as he didn’t hesitate to separate himself this weekend as a national prospect.
Highlights
Pur is a burden to defend against in the painted area and it showed as he went an impressive 29-of-34 from the overall field on the weekend (85.3 percent) shooting the ball. He put up 18 points, seven rebounds and a block on 9-of-9 shooting in their Platinum Championship victory over Team Melo as well. In the semifinals, he snagged 15 rebounds to go along with 20 points and a block. He’s a sizeable name to get to know in the class given his energy around the painted area.
Vinson took the EYBL 15’s by storm in Session I with Boo Williams as he finished the weekend ranked second in points per game. The sharpshooting lead guard hit the ground running as he finished averaging 23.6 PPG, 3.6 APG and 2.0 RPG on 66.1 percent shooting from the floor and 53.6 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s certainly put a ton of folks on notice with his shooting numbers after knocking down 15 3-pointers across five games. He’s a prospect who can get going in a hurry with the ball in his hands and due for some attention on the national stage very soon.
Johnson-Freeman has easily become a staple in the Team United backcourt with CJ Rosser CJ Rosser 6’7″ | PF Northern Nash | 2027 State NC leading the frontcourt. He finished the weekend with impressive shooting splits of 63.6 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent from deep after Session I. He produced 10.0 PPG, 1.8 AP and 1.3 RPG as well. He’s a prospect who doesn’t’ force the issue and can shoot the ball with efficiency on the perimeter.
Easter is a prospect with Team Final to keep an eye on as he looks ready to turn a corner this grassroots cycle on the EYBL stage. He finished atop the 15U standings as a top scorer and assist-man after Session I with 19.7 PPG, 4.7 RPG and 3.3 APG while shooting 67.6 percent from the floor. He’s an intriguing athletic prospect with a knack for making plays for himself and others off the bounce. He’s one to keep an eye on.
