A big forward with guard skills and one of the most complete skill sets you’ll find at his size. He can grab a defensive rebound and push the break himself, then run offense from the top of the key with a fluid handle that includes long-striding crossovers, hesitations and spins. He scores at all three levels. He’s a confident catch-and-shoot threat from deep, with step-back and pull-up ability, plus a polished face-up turnaround from the baseline. Around the rim he’s an explosive, above-the-rim finisher who also has the body control to hang and finish through contact.

Rosser had a really good weekend shooting the basketball, playing with confidence and using his high release to fire away over shorter closeouts. The shooting upside is what makes Rosser so intriguing and after a cold shooting spring, Rosser has started to increase his percentages on the perimeter and his confidence has grown. I also am high on Rosser’s defensive upside, as he’s able to guard multiple positions and use his length to deflect passes and be a secondary rim protector. One of the most naturally talented prospects in the country, Rosser had a strong weekend.

CJ Rosser can flat out go. He has the athleticism, skill set, and intangibles that college coaches look for, and I’m sure plenty of scouts were watching him closely last weekend. He is a two-way force, to say the least, and the way he can take away space and alter shots on the defensive end is impressive to watch. Offensively, he is a threat to hammer home powerful dunks, but he also has a reliable jump shot to complement his high flying abilities. I’m fairly certain Rosser is a prospect we’ll be seeing play in some big games in the future.

Rosser fuses a physical and athletic profile that translates to the highest levels with a skill-set to match that statement. At 6-feet-9 with a long, wiry frame the senior is as versatile as they come offensively with the ability to stretch the floor to the three-point line off the catch and create mid-range and at-rim scoring opportunities off the bounce. Rosser is also an all-purpose defender whose mobility, lateral speed and length allow him to contest shots and contain on the perimeter.

A prospect with as much natural talent as anybody in the 2027 class, Rosser is extremely close with the top two players as each of the top three prospects are listed in our Florida state rankings. Rosser comes to Southeastern Prep from North Carolina, where he teams up with Beckham Black Beckham Black 6'3" | PG Southeastern Prep | 2027 State #2 Nation FL to form arguably the best high school duo in the country. Rosser had a monster final EYBL session in Las Vegas, as shots finally started to fall for him from the outside. What gives Rosser such a high floor is his defensive upside as he averaged 3.8 defensive stocks per game on the EYBL circuit. Rosser’s name should probably come up more often when discussing the best defensive players in the country.

Rosser is one of the country’s most talented prospects in the 2027 class and really impressed with USA Basketball in June. The North Carolina native is a long, lean, athletic combo forward with inside/outside scoring ability. He has touch around the rim, has improved his handle and is becoming more and more consistently productive.

There are few prospects in the class more skilled offensively than Rosser. Pushing 6-feet-10 with a long, wiry frame and a smooth gait, Rosser is a floor-stretching, rim-running and face-up scoring threat. His threat as a paint finisher off cuts and lobs opens up his fluid catch-and-shoot three and off-bounce driving ability. Rosser’s most productive game was 30 points and nine rebounds in a win over Brad Beal Elite.

Rosser has maybe the most natural talent out of any prospect in the 2027 class nationally as the 6’9 stretch forward has the combination of size, shooting and offensive skill. Rosser has struggled from beyond the arc in EYBL play, which was a main reason for him slipping from first to third in the rankings. Still one of the top recruits nationally in 2027, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rosser has a big July and leads Team United to a Peach Jam run. According to Rivals, Rosser is hearing the most from North Carolina, Kentucky, Louisville, Alabama, Miami (FL) and Arkansas.

CJ Rosser has a rare blend of height, skill, and athleticism that allows him to be a high-impact player on both ends of the court. On offense, he attacks the basket with a full head of steam and will launch for gravity-defying dunks when he has a clear path. I was also a fan of his outside shooting, and he converted on a number of tough 3-pointers throughout the camp. On defense, Rosser eliminates space in the blink of an eye and is very capable of coming up with both steals and blocks. Overall, all of the tools are there, and it’ll be exciting to see what he does during the rest of the summer.
