Janon had an injury plagued year last season but when on the floor, it’s easy to see the long-term projection. Janon has good positional size with the ability to score in the paint or from the perimeter. As he’s ramping back up and getting ready for the season, there will be a high expectation level for him. Not only will he be expected to dominate alongside Kaharri Colemn, but as one of the lone seniors, his off the court leadership will be pivotal.

The explosion in which he showcased prior to injury is still there and he’s refined a lot of his weaknesses. More consistency from outside would be one of the things Janon has grown in. Being versatile in his scoring will be key in a state championship run for the Lions. All signs point to a big senior year for Janon as he steps into a new role.

Janan Singh is an agile and energetic 6-foot-6 wing who brings intensity and versatility to every contest. Renowned for his relentless motor and high activity level on both sides of the floor, Singh leverages his size to make an immediate impact whether defending or attacking. On offense, Singh’s combination of length and agility allows him to slash effectively to the rim, finishing through contact and exploiting mismatches. Defensively, Singh’s quickness and anticipation make him an asset. He can switch across multiple positions, contest shots, and recover quickly to disrupt opposing plays. His rebounding ability, particularly on the defensive glass, sparks transition opportunities for his team.

Team United only played two games over the weekend and wasn’t included in the actual tournament bracket. In the two big wins, Singh showed a nice ability to be a pick and pop threat while using his length and bounce to be a terror around the rim rather than for a rebound or tough finishes.

Our PrepHoops staff has been high on Singh ever since he took the floor for Berkmar as a freshman and his performance on Saturday sold us even more. Singh is a long, athletic forward with a terrific motor. He competes on the glass, runs the floor hard, and poses a consistent lob threat in transition. Singh still has lots of room to grow offensively and his ceiling remains extremely high. As the Witherspoon era begins at Berkmar, Singh provides a very solid building block.
