In what was a somewhat up and down weekend for Team CP3 EYBL 16u going 2-2 in Memphis during the live period, Coleman was a significant bright spot for this group as he was a consistent producer throughout the session. Coleman averaged 14.8 Points, 5.0 Rebounds, 3.5 Assists, and 1.0 Steals on 45/36/90 shooting splits. Coleman’s ability to play the PG position at his size with his athletic prowess makes him a really hot commodity in the recruiting world as he’s picked up multiple major offers since the live period. Unlike a lot of guards in his mold, Coleman actually possesses excellent touch from beyond the arc that keeps the defense honest, even though he doesn’t shoot it at a super high volume from distance. He’s a primary prospect in this stacked 2028 class here in North Carolina and that won’t be changing anytime soon.

He averaged 13.8 Points, 3.8 Rebounds, 4.3 Assists, 1.3 Steals, and 1.0 Blocks per game on 54/43/75 shooting splits. He brings real winning pedigree to this team as a new addition to the group and is so physically gifted for a PG. Coleman is one of the best shot blocking guards in the 2028 class nationally with his ability to make up ground and crazy vertical pop. Coleman is such a dynamic option to have in the backcourt that still always maintains the control of a game. Look for him to cement his status nationally this spring/summer.

Coleman is arguably the State’s most dynamic athlete on top of his ability to completely control the game with his ability to run his team and score in high volume in the process. He’ll be running with Team CP3 EYBL 16u this spring/summer and should be poised to really make some special moments happen with that group. Coming off of his Sophomore season at West Charlotte where he helped lead the Lions to an 8A State Championship, Coleman will look to truly assert himself on the national recruiting scene as he brings a ton of next level ability to the table. His improved his consistency as a shooter and is learning the value of having the ability to change pace/speeds to alter the flow of the game when needed. As he continues to refine his game and get more reps vs high level competition, Coleman will truly establish himself as one of the top 2028s in North Carolina while getting real national recruiting recognition.

that possess the talent that he does. A real contender for the top overall spot in NCs 2028 class, Coleman is leading West Charlotte on a magical playoff run and he’s doing a little bit of everything. In their 74-70 final four win over West Forsyth, Coleman finished with 30 Points, 10 Rebounds, 6 Assists, and 3 Steals in what was another truly signature performance for the nationally ranked sophomore. At 6’4″, Coleman can be a full time PG, attack the rim with true disdain for the opposition, and heat up from the outside off the catch or bounce. He is a truly aggressive scorer, looking to put the opposition in the rim any chance that he can. When the game slows down, he is capable of picking it apart with his live dribble and vision, he creates so much pressure on the defense that it makes life easier for him and his teammates. Coleman is looking to add some more hardware to the case at West Charlotte as they’ll face Hoggard for the 8A State Championship.

Coleman rose to the occasion in West Charlotte’s overtime win over West Forsyth, pouring in 25 points and taking over offensively when his team needed it most. The sophomore guard, fresh off an offer from NC State, plays with a lot of burst and confidence, attacking downhill and creating space for his jumper. He consistently made big plays late and looked comfortable carrying the scoring load.

Coleman is arguably the face of public school basketball in the City of Charlotte right now and it’s because of the energy he plays with, his embracement of the West Charlotte community, and the fact that the kid wins and performs consistently. West Charlotte has played a really tough schedule and still sits at 16-4 on the season as we come down the stretch. Coleman is averaging 17.2 Points, 7.3 Rebounds, 3.7 Assists, 3.2 Steals, and 1.8 Blocks per game. The kid is absolutely stuffing the stat sheet and doing it efficiently on 55/35/66 splits as a sophomore. Coleman excels at getting downhill and is a truly special “traffic” finisher as he can explode and contort his body however he needs to. He often tries to dunk in traffic and is frequently rewarded with foul calls. Defensively, he’s a menace that can guard four positions at the high school level. He’s also showing real growth as a PG which is great considering his size and athletic gifts. As he continues to up the volume on outside shots, if he can maintain similar efficiency, he’s going to find himself ranked amongst the top 60 players nationally by this time in two years and have his pick of the litter on where to attend college.

-Probably the fastest prospect with the basketball in his hands in the open floor, it’s easy to see why Coleman has already garnered high level recruiting interest. He’s extremely dynamic with the ball in his hands, can turn really sharp angles coming off of screens or tightroping his way through tight spaces along the sideline or baseline. He has a really quick set of hands and has the potential to develop into a lockdown defensive floor general capable of turning his matchup over and disrupting offensive flow for the opposing team. Coleman also showed a diverse set of finishing moves around the basket and wasn’t afraid to drive straight at opposing bigs to negate their shot-blocking ability or draw fouls in the halfcourt. One of the highest upside players in attendance at this event.
