Johnson-Freeman was a true two way presence for Team Loaded South 17u 3SSB this past weekend out west. He averaged 8.3 Points, 2.5 Rebounds, 3.3 Assists, 1.0 Steals, and 1.5 Blocks per game on 42/31/50 splits. He provided a blend of scoring, playmaking, and possession swinging defense for this group as the primary perimeter defender amongst this talented team. He uses his physical gifts and motor to dictate where possessions go defensively along with having the ability to heat up as a shot maker. He probably wasn’t quite as efficient as he’d like to be but had a really strong outing in a dominant win vs Southern Assault where he finished with 16 Points. Johnson-Freeman is a vital piece to this team and should be a key producer in this groups quest for an Adidas 3SSB Championship.

Taking on a loaded Southeastern Prep (FL) squad, Johnson-Freeman produced one of the better shooting outings of the event with 22 points on 7-17 FGA and 5-11 FGA. The confident shotmaker drained movement and standstill three included over a contest that didn’t faze him. Johnson-Freeman scored on other levels of the floor as well including a crossover pullup jumper at the free throw line and a soft floater at the rim.

Johnson-Freeman has become the go to guy for his Team United 15U group, landing in double figures all weekend and showing why his scoring acumen is above others his age when it comes to creating for himself and just getting a bucket. He’s excellent at getting to the rim with an above average frame and strength, having reclassed once already. A confident finisher who is either going to make the layup or get fouled and earn it at the free throw line. Still improving his perimeter game for now.
