HONORABLE MENTIONS
Barnes was a huge reason for OLSM’s terrific season. He’s a leader on both ends of the floor and picked up big stop after big stop on D.
Lawson is just too gifted and too electric to not be on this list. He flashed some crazy talent this season. The best is yet to come from this star.
LePla is a gifted all around athlete and player. His inside-out and outside-in play made him so tough too defend. LePla had some huge games in key moments of a nice playoff run.
Let me say this: McKenney is one of the most talented players in the country. His strengths, ball skills, mid range game and finishing abilities are all truly elite. Obviously he’s worthy of the POY distinction. It’s not often that you see a sophomore with the poise and skill that McKenney possesses.
McLavish Jr. is an electric shooter and scorer, always has been. I like the development he showed in his game this season as a distributor and floor leader.
Highlights
Moore spearheaded an Ann Arbor Huron run to the quarterfinals. All year long, he carried the role as the primary ball handler. Moore created off the bounce at a high level for a team considered to be in the top 10 in the state.
Stone was half of one of the best young backcourts in the state with Jordan Sigmon Jordan Sigmon 6’1″ | CG Detroit Renaissance | 2026 State MI at Detroit Renaissance. The silky smooth athlete is one of the best passers you can watch in Michigan.
An injury ended his season too soon, but his effect on his team and his performance left a lasting impression. Vis was a versatile scorer that could finish at the rim as well as light it up from behind the arc. I don’t think this will be the last time we see Vis’ name on this list.
