Gardner is a quick ball handler and displays some good ball skills. At the Freshman Showcase Gardner hit a relatively deep 3-pointer without pushing too much forward.

Max seemed to be everywhere on Sunday on both ends. A guy that was picking up high defensively and tough to screen, but then pushed the ball and got paint regularly. One of the most consistently productive players I saw.

Max turned in a great weekend, being at his best with the ball in his hands, creating for himself and teammates. He is a lightning quick guard, being able to make one move to blow by his defender to get downhill. He can score from anywhere on the floor, having great touch around the basket and a knockdown jumper from the perimeter off the catch or off the dribble.

Max looks like another ball handler to keep an eye on in this 2030 class filled with several elite guards. He is very quick and has a tight handle, as he looked good running the offense at times for D1 Minnesota . He is a knockdown shooter from the perimeter and has great touch around the basket. Gardner is a well rounded player and could have the chance to make a difference at the varsity level as a freshman.

Max Gardner Max Gardner 5'10" | PG Apple Valley | 2030 State MN – Gardner has caught my eye at the last two Minnesota Middle School camps and he continues to make plays. Gardner’s biggest area of growth is building strength and maturing/aging. He sees passing lanes and opportunities to push the ball, has a strong handle and can shoot the ball from distance. The 2030 guard for D1 Minnesota 3SSB is playing up with 14U this weekend.
