Expert Analysis
Ryan James | Prep Hoops Scout
Looking at Hutton’s frame and the way he is moving, combing that to his skill set, he is looking more and more like a three than a four. And the way he is shooting the ball, he is looking more like a combo forward prospect that you have to get out and contest. Opened the game with a three and then hit three more jumpers from 15 feet and out scoring with the touch after cutting or putting the ball down. The way he is moving and shooting the ball right now, I see him closer to a top 50 prospect. Hutton went closer to the rim for early second half scores putting in a one hand putback and then falling away to finish after an attack.

With the departure of some key seniors from last year’s state tournament team, Apple Valley needs some new names to step into big roles this winter. Tyrese looks capable of being a go-to guy this winter, and showed why as he led his team to a win over Park Center on Sunday. At 6’5 he’s difficult to matchup with as he’s such a threat from three point range, forcing size away from the basket. Tyrese showed that impressive shooting touch hitting a number of tough mid-range shots as well. With his high release point he’s able to shoot over length with ease.

“He was a difference maker on the boards, cleaning up teammates’ misses for second chance opportunities. He plays very unselfishly, moving the ball and only taking good shots. Hutton is also a major threat from deep, using his quick release to get shots off fast in the catch-and-shoot.” – Jack Pfeiffer

Tyrese scored the second bucket of the game for his team, knocking down a three from a couple of feet behind the arc early in the first half. All spring and summer he was a part of a Fury team that proved to be tough to beat for anyone in the state, and he looks to have carried over that production into the fall. At 6’5 he’s a true floor stretcher who can heat up in a hurry from three point range. All day long defenders had to keep a hand up on him otherwise he could quickly put three points on the board. Tyrese looks ready to step into a bigger role this winter as a senior.

– The six-foot-five-inch 2027 Hutton has been a steady producer for Apple Valley over the years and that efficiency in the high school season carries over for Fury Goring. Hutton’s ability as spot-up floor spreading four-man really helps open lanes for his team’s. Hutton has good strength and size to work on the boards and wall up on defense.

The headliners from this Fury team were their bigs, but Tyrese was also a big reason why his team found success. He was stretching the floor from three, not only putting points on the board, but opening up space for his teammates to operate in the paint. Has good size out on the wing at 6’5, and a high release point on his shot that makes it difficult to contest. Knockdown shooter from three point range who helped lead Apple Valley all the way to the Class AAAA state championship game as a junior.
