Maybe the biggest impression made this weekend for seniors that were not ranked, it was made by Amine Maouzoun Amine Maouzoun 6'6" | SF/PF Apple Valley | 2027 MN . Amine played some last year but this year based on what we saw this weekend, he can help the Eagles with what he does in the paint. His effort to contest, rebound, and block shots was a big take away and if he can take what we saw this weekend into the winter, we could see him being looked at as a 6’6/6’7 frontcout prospect.

Amine was one of the top two-way players I saw at The Expo. He has a very long 6’6” frame and was great defending the rim, as well as picking up on guards on the perimeter. He was very effective getting downhill for layups at the rim, using his length to convert over defenders. The lefty wing also showed some great touch inside the three-point line with floater finishes and mid-range jumpers.

Amine saw a few minutes per game off the bench for Apple Valley last season as they made a deep run in the state tournament, and he now looks ready to take on a bigger role as a senior. He immediately catches your eye with his long and lanky 6’6 frame, with good mobility to defend a number of spots on the floor. Often playing alongside a 6’9 big, Amine was given the freedom to roam a bit and make plays on the perimeter. He flashed a smooth jumper from three, with the handle needed to attack with some straight line drives as well. Looks to use his length to finish explosively above the rim. One of the biggest stock risers I saw on the day.

The biggest impression made was on defense. Amine was contesting, blocking and collecting at the rim regularly. There was a lot of size on these courts and I thought Amine held his own pretty well. Amine had an 8th man role last year on the second place team in state and based on the potential we saw today, he should really be able to help the Eagles playing next to Hutton. I like that returning frontcourt pair for the Eagles.
