Lemeiux showed this weekend that he’s trending back in the right direction after working his way back from injury. It was an encouraging performance, as he looked more like himself with each game. He was active on the glass, attacking rebounds and creating extra opportunities. His ball control stood out, especially in transition where he pushed the pace and made smart decisions with the ball. He finished well at the rim, showing touch and confidence through contact. On top of that his shooting and range were on point, showing one of the most important layer to his game is still dominant. This was a strong step toward returning to form

Lemieux has been highly regarded as one of the top shooters in the class, and he had those moments this summer and at various showcases. Now that the high school season has started, he has not been shooting the ball as well, so it is about doing other things to impact the game. East is going to need him to be better if they want to make a deep push. He may have to be the team’s best rebounder and hone in on that skill, playmaking when he has the ball, while moving without the ball for easy scoring opportunities, and consistently put it together. He does look as if he’s taken a step defensively, and that has been noted, but now it is time to get back to being a two-way option that puts fear in opposing teams. He rounds out the top 7 players in the conference.

Lincoln looked great at the Uprise event as a two-way standout. He defended bigs, stepped out onto guards, and showcased his versatility on that end of the floor, which we’ve been asking for. Lincoln can score with the best of them. We already know the type of scorer that he is as he has range and lets it fly, but when you add in the defense and ability to affect the game in other areas, that’s when he’s at his best. We liked what we saw at this event and want to see more of it.

Lemieux showcased a complete performance at the camp, showing a smooth, natural command of the game from start to finish. With the ball in his hands, he confidently stepped into deep shots, used his handle to break down defenders, and attacked the lane with purpose, even finishing a couple of alley oops that highlighted his timing and athleticism. He consistently read the floor, taking what the defense gave him and when they collapsed he found open teammates with smart decisive passes. On the defensive end Lemieux brought the same energy by locking down his primary assignment. He also rotated to provide help when needed and soared high to secure rebounds in traffic. His ability to control tempo, create for others and impose himself defensively underscored just how versatile and impactful he can be in any setting

Lemieux really propelled himself with a summer surge that pushed him up the rankings. He showcased his ability to shoot, attack off the drive, and stretch the floor from three. At the showcase the focus shifts to the other side of the ball and his overall play. We want to see him lock down opponents, use his length and quickness to contain drivers, and continue to prove he can impact the game defensively as well as offensively. Showing his already complete two way game would cement his status as one of the top rising prospects

What we know:
What we know, and ANYBODY who has watched or gone against Lincoln knows is that he’s 6’3 with a ratchet. With his size and ability to space the floor with his shooting, he’s one of the most intriguing players in the class because he’s arguably the best shooter in the entire state. He’s a natural scorer who puts points on the board as an off-ball threat that you have to guard the moment he crosses half-court.
What we’d like to see:
The other parts of his game. I want to see Lincoln put the ball on the floor and run the offense, him grab a rebound and start the break as the primary guard as well as pick up 90 feet and make an opposing guard work. He’s a player that I know that plenty of schools are going to be on for the next few seasons, and they will want to see those things as well as which determines the type of school he plays at at the next level. This is an opportunity to show that there’s more to his game than just being a knockdown shooter. I know that we’ll see that, but I want to see him challenge himself at this showcase of exploring other parts of his game or just letting everyone know he adds those other parts as well.

Laterally quick, Lemieux establishes himself defending on or off the ball exceptionally well. Already having a plethora of scoring moves on offense, Lemieux will be one of those names you won’t forget.

Lincoln continues to prove he’s ahead of the curve and with his team playing 17U this weekend, it was on display. He’s one of the most polished underclassmen in the state as he scores effortlessly, often piling up points before defenses even notice. His chemistry with guards and ability to knock down shots is elite, but he’s not one-dimensional. He’s added floaters, tough finishes, and competes defensively. His stock should be climbing fast, and I’d be buying now; he will only continue to get better.

Lemieux put together an outstanding weekend, showing off his complete game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he attacked defenders off the dribble, breaking down the defense and finishing strong at the rim. He kept opponents honest with his quick trigger three point shot, punishing any defensive lapses. On the defensive side, his footwork stood out—staying in front of his man and making scoring opportunities tough to come by. His weekend was highlighted by a monster 50 point performance, where he caught fire from beyond the arc, drilling 13 threes in a scoring clinic that left no doubt about his offensive talent
