Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Alexander was one of my personal favorite players to watch in the state this year because he played with fire, he defended and held his own against some of the top players in the state despite giving up size, and he was the team’s Swiss-army-knife. He was a jack of all trades and showed up when it mattered most. He hit the 3-ball consistently, hit mid-range jumpers, and was a hard worker offensively who crashed boards and went right up. The team rallied around him at times as a two-way competitor, and that play gets you noticed. He jumps into the rankings this go-round with plenty to prove this summer, as well as leading into next season.

Alexander is the kind of wing who can quietly swing a tournament game for Denver East. He’s a force on the glass, carving out space with strong body position and disciplined box outs that create extra possessions. Athletic and powerful, he doesn’t shy away from contact and finishes through it. Offensively he’s a confident three point shooter who stretches defenses, but he’s dangerous when putting the ball on the floor with quick, decisive moves to the rim. If he controls the boards and knocks down shots, he becomes a true difference maker who can help East make a run

Alexander is a constant for this East team, and he’s a player who feeds off momentum. He is also organized chaos and is trying to make plays happen. He rebounds hard, steps up and hits big shots, and he also scores with the best of them. This lefty cannot be denied getting to his spots, and also steps up on the other end of the floor as well. He’s a 6’2 versatile prospect who can defend and play multiple positions, and now that he’s been called upon, he’s made the most of those minutes. He’s up to 8.6 points and 5.7 rebounds a game right now and is a glue guy for the team. He will never be asked to be the leading scorer or to run the offense, but he is the glue that keeps it together. We’ve liked what we’ve seen from this poised junior.

He delivered a complete performance, hitting threes to stretch the floor while also attacking the lane with confidence. His toughness on the interior was evident as he battled for loose balls and finished through contact. Alexander’s energy and impact were noticeable on every possession, proving he can be a difference maker given the opportunity

Alexander is a versatile contributor who impacts the game in multiple ways. He moves well without the ball, making smart cuts that lead to high percentage looks in the paint, and he’s comfortable stepping out to knock down the three. His screening ability creates scoring opportunities for teammates, while his presence on the defensive end allows him to contest and block shots effectively. At the Expo, continuing to refine his perimeter shooting consistency, add more creation off the dribble, and showcase his defensive versatility against top talent could take his game to the next level
