-Anthony had an up and down high school season but has looked great in offseason workouts and AAU tryouts over the past few weeks to show his long term upside as an energy big. Anthony ran the floor hard, turned the corner on forwards to slash downhill much more frequently, rotated well on the back line to block or challenge shots, and posterized a few defenders with one-handed dunks. Anthony already holds a scholarship offer from Navy and should collect a few more suitors this summer with consistent production at both ends of the floor.

Developing young big, best days are ahead of him. When he entered games this season. He had no issues playing big on both ends of the floor. Showing to be an elite rim protecting prospect. Showing timing, technique, length and awareness. Solid rebounder on both ends…Possesses the foot speed to hang with guards on switches well. I was also impressed with his ability to score comfortably from 12 feet and in and with his back to the basket. Agile young running big overall offensive skill set is a work in process. Showed throughout the season to step out and stretch the floor knocking down the 17-foot jumper. Obvious development will be his touch from the perimeter which will be super important moving forward in his long-term potential.

‘s presence in the paint was undeniable. His shot-blocking ability and rebounding prowess were instrumental in Mount St. Joseph’s defensive efforts. Anthony was very well coordinated in playing a throw-back type of inside game. He was able to score over both shoulders still learning the angles and how to seal his man. However, Anthony showed in his playing time to be a rim protector. His offensive game is a work in progress, but long term I see Anthony being a solid contributing offensive operation as he matures.

-Liking what I’m seeing in his development as a passer, doing a better job of reading the floor before he gets into an offensive move and is finding teammates from both the perimeter and low block. Anthony is finishing his opportunities at the rim but needs to add more explosiveness and hip mobility to maximize his natural tools as a defender, play-finisher, and rebounder. Defensively he competes at a high level and blocked or altered several shots in each game I saw today. With time, I think we’ll see better rhythm and pace on his jumpshot, with resulting C+S capabilities that will balance his offensive game. Still believe in him as a long-term play as a PF that can defend and stretch the floor
