Carter provides further positional versatility for this New World team given his size and length to play either forward spot. He’s skilled enough to bring opposing bigs out on the perimeter and expose them off the bounce and can use his length to shoot over some wings when needed. He forms a forms a formidable trio alongside Graves and Smith-Bey and when he’s hitting shots from outside like he was in a couple of games in California this weekend, he provides valuable floor spacing. He reached double-digits in the scoring column twice, one of which came in their big win over Atlanta Celtics where he put 16 points to round out his weekend averages of 11.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. A prospect with his size and skill, seeing Carter be more of a presence on the glass and showing off some distribution skills will help his stock rise quickly this summer. A bright spot though, was his shooting percentage from deep, which he converting at a 44.4 percent clip.

-Carter has been thrown into the fire here this season as a junior tasked with leading the team with Mundey heading to Texas A&M as an early enrollee. And he’s performed well, continuing to knock down shots from the perimeter while handling more on-ball creation responsibilities from the top of the key. Carter started things off with a C+S corner 3, forced a turnover on the sideline by staying home then swiping it off his opp, used a low pickup to get into the extension off balance lay at the rim on multiple occasions, and came off the Iverson at a sharp angle to hit the extension lay to go ahead in 2OT for good. Carter’s length really comes in handy as a rebounder that came up with some big defensive boards in traffic to close out possessions down the stretch for the Flyers. Love his long-term upside as a wing that can impact the game on both ends of the floor whether he is in the top 3 for a group or in more of a supporting role as an unselfish player that plays winning basketball.

Wisdom has been putting together one of the more productive scoring campaigns in the area, and his season has been a real step forward. He’s been efficient with his scoring, taking what the defense gives him and finding points within the flow instead of forcing looks. Carter’s ability to get downhill stands out because he’s shifty and slithery off the bounce, and he finishes at the rim with touch and body control. Defensively, he’s been active and disruptive, and he’s created plenty of offense just by bringing energy on that end of the floor. Wisdom has looked more confident, more composed, and more complete as a guard, and that upward trend has been clear all season and more so recently.

-Our scouts have loved his development in a leadership role with PGCA this season stepping up with Mundey headed to A+M early in the spring semester. Carter is averaging close to 20 ppg and has put up 30+ points despite seeing much more defensive attention this season. Love how much more fluidly he is getting into his jumper both off the bounce and off of movement in addition to the improvements he’s made to his handle and conditioning.

Carter delivered an elite performance on Friday night vs Greenfield. His outside shot making set the tone early, he’s got a pure release from distance and a ton of confidence in that aspect of his game. He can attack closeouts and make plays for himself or others, he also provides a ton of energy defensively, active in passing lanes, and just a general pest at that end of the floor. As he continues to fill his frame out, he has a chance to really turn the corner and become a big time prospect. Expect big things from Carter all season long.

He is one of my favorite players I have watched the last 18 months. He is a well-traveled prospect! An unassuming player during the eye test in warmups. But once he steps between the black lines. Showed his range and hitting some big threes in the games throughout the weekend. Wisdom plays with a lot of confidence, is not afraid of the bright lights, and brings a lot of energy to the team. Wisdom averaged 14.0 points on 45% on 15-33 2pt FG shooting and 6-15 from the 3pt line on 40% from the field.

-I’ve really liked the defensive growth that I’ve seen out of Carter since he transferred into PGCA from Cardozo last year. Coach Hawkins uses him as a switchable wing that can guard 1-4 in most situations, using his length and athleticism to bump his matchup off their driving lanes to the rim and cause havoc with deflections or blocks. The consistency is starting to lead to more production from the offensive end as well as he is beginning to hit perimeter shots at a consistent clip and get to the rim with relative ease. I’m forecasting a boon in his college interest because at a minimum, he has all the physical tools of a wing that can fit into almost any system.

-Love the flashes and the developmental growth from Carter, especially on the defensive end of the floor as he is doing a great job of crowding ballhandlers and using his length to collect steals/deflections. Carter knocked down a trio of tre-balls, got to the rim to finish through contact, and stuck a putback versus City. He focused more on the defensive end of the floor against OLMC and served as a valuable wing defender that can scale up to mark forwards whether it’s on switches or individual matchups. His athleticism continues to remain a calling card and the quickness looks to be improving as he continues to gain more fluidity in his hips to defend guards at a higher level.

-Carter transferred into PGCA and is developing well with some extended run with the Regional team as a versatile wing prospect with tantalizing upside. A good leaper that can put it on the floor, rebound the basketball in traffic, finish plays above the rim, and scale up or down defensively in PGCA’s different lineups– Carter serves as a valuable piece on this team already as a sophomore. Once the perimeter jumper begins to fall with more consistency and he takes more efficient paths to the basket that cut down on the potential to get ripped on drives to the basket– he will barely leave the floor as a crucial 3+D wing.

Wisdom has all the tools to be a first team caliber kid this fall. He’s very long as a defender and really shoots the basketball with great touch from anywhere on the floor. Wisdom has great handle for his size at wing and I’m sure after what he does this summer he will go up a few slots on the rankings. He’s a match up nightmare when you try to put little guards on him he’s great at all three levels and for bigs he’s too quick. Cardozo has a 6’5 monster on the roster and with a summer in the weight room he is surely to rise.
