The senior is averaging 15.7 points, 6.5 assists, and 5.0 rebounds for the 20-3 Pioneers and has been the engine behind one of the area’s top teams. An athletic, scoring lead guard, he consistently fills the stat sheet and impacts the game in multiple ways. He has the versatility to shift seamlessly between distributor and scorer, reading the defense and taking what it gives him. With his quickness and ability to change speeds, he is difficult for defenders to stay in front of, regularly getting into the paint and creating advantages. Defensively, he stays active and engaged, applying pressure and contributing on that end to round out his all-around game.

Elijah was dominant in his Sunday showing at DC Live this weekend. He started out the gate a bit slow but picked things up in a big way. He scored the ball from every level on the floor, most comfortable as a shooter. Elijah really showcased his ability by mixing up his baskets between the 3-point shot and the dribble-drive. Had his way with just about any defender who stepped in front of him, breaking down the defense and getting to the spots easily. Kept the buckets flowing through the whole game and it looked smooth. Big session for the rising senior.

-Came away really impressed in my first viewing of Gaskins as a flashy point guard prospect that can really fill up a stat sheet. A phenomenal passer off a live dribble with either hand, an elite handle allows him to get to his spots with ease to accentuate his quickness. Gaskins showed great touch in the paint, can really get off the ground quickly and explosively to finish above the rim, and can shoot it with range. His IQ allows him to be successful both on or off the ball and he does a good job of getting off it and swinging to a teammate to shift the defense. Really underrated guard for LM schools to track.

Elijah Gaskins Elijah Gaskins 6'1" | PG Patriot | 2026 State VA is doing a great job building on a breakout season for Patriot. Patriot stayed undefeated with a blowout win over St. John’s Catholic. Elijah’s mix of vertical ability and straight-line speed makes him one of the best slashers in NOVA. He’s relentless in his attacking of the rim, and he is a tremendous finisher. He is a good jump shooter and facilitator. Elijah’s effort was elite today, and his skill dominated just as much as his will. He had 26 points and 11 rebounds. 

Not many guys in NOVA can do what Elijah can do when it comes to attacking the rim. He has great acceleration, and he is lethal in the open floor. Elijah finishes with both hands and has an elite mix of athleticism and craftiness. Elijah looks taller than he was last summer, and I think he will keep rising in the rankings. He is averaging 20 PPG for a Patriot team yet to lose in 3 games.

There may not be a player who has done a better job getting to the rim than Elijah. He uses his speed and athleticism effectively, and nobody has been able to consistently stop him from getting downhill. Elijah can score on all three levels and has led Patriot to a perfect 3-0 record. Elijah went for an efficient 35 points in Patriot’s win.

Elijah attacks the rim aggressively, and he is a skilled and athletic finisher. Elijah is exciting to watch when he gets downhill, and he is difficult to stay in front of. Elijah had 14 points and 7 rebounds. 

Elijah Gaskins Elijah Gaskins 6'1" | PG Patriot | 2026 State VA had a breakout year for Patriot. Elijah is a big factor on both ends of the court and he is a true point guard. Elijah is a great scorer from all three levels and he is an excellent facilitator. Elijah was region player of the year and a first-team all-state selection.

Elijah is good on or off the ball and he has had a solid Junior season for Patriot. He finished with 21 points against Battlefield.
