One of the top shooters in the country certainly showed why on Sunday with seven made 3-pointers, including four in the first quarter alone. La Lumiere does an elite job of finding Webber when he’s open with on time and on target passes so he can easily catch and shoot. A pure specialist for Purdue, Webber’s shooting gravity will be a major help in Matt Painter’s offense that has finished near the top of college basketball the past few seasons.

One of the elite shooters nationally, Webber has a straight burner. Able to fire away immediately off the catch, Webber hits shots off movement that few players should even imagine taking. In a defensive first league, having a guy who can get hot from the outside in a hurry is such an advantage and Webber is arguably the best shooter in all of the Nike Scholastic league.

has become a coveted prospect nationally after showing off his capabilities this summer. Heavily-recruited by second-tier high-major programs prior to this summer, the sharp-shooting wing picked up offers from Purdue and Tennessee after strong performances on the 3SSB circuit.
A true volume shooter that can make shots from all around the three-point line, Webber’s ability to hit tough, deep shots from all angles make him a threat to score at will. With his gravity on the court, he forces opposing defenses to account for him at all times, leaving his teammates open to make plays and score themselves.

One of the elite shooters in the country, Webber caught fire from 3-point range with a run of three straight 3-pointers that were ridiculous shots. Webber has the positional size to shoot over smaller defenders and does not lack any confidence. Webber looks like a perfect plug and play wing shooter at the high major level and has rightfully been a stock riser nationally in the rankings and among high major programs.

I was able to watch Webber warm up with corner 3’s and his form and mechanics were consistent every time he put the ball up. He continued to shoot the lights out the rest of the day and poured in one triple after another in the game that I watched. Although the defense knows he’s a threat, he finds ways to get open and he can also shoot over defenders thanks to his height.
Stats – 23 Points, 7-11 from 3

is a knockdown shooter whose gravity makes his teammates lives easier even when he’s not making shots.
Weber is comfortable shooting a wide array of different shots. Whether it be pull up threes in transition, catch and shoot threes or step backs he plays with little to no conscious.
His height makes it difficult for defenders to get a good contest on his shot.
Webber had a rough first game where he finished with only three points and no made threes however, he bounced back immediately and finished the weekend with three straight games with three or more made threes.
While he can go cold, he can get extremely hot, he hit four threes in a row in the teams win over Power 5.
Jacob’s next area improvement will be finding other ways to affect the game more consistently when his shot isn’t falling. That could be rebounding, defending or getting to the line his frame gives him more opportunity to expand his game.

transferred to Kearney from Arizona before last season he instantly became one of the best scorers in the state. He averaged 18 points per game on 47% shooting from the field last season. Webber is considered a four-star prospect on most outlets.
Shooting
Webber is one of the best knockdown shooters in the state. While he is an excellent stand-still shooter what sets Webber apart is his ability to shoot the move. Whether it’s coming off of pin-downs or dribble handoffs Webber is lethal when he can get his shot off. Webber shot 42% from three on nearly 200 attempts last season.
Inside
While Webber’s shooting ability is his greatest asset he is far from just a shooter. Last season he showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. He also has a reliable midrange shot in part due to his size at 6’6” which allows him to shoot over contest. Webber shot 53% on all two-point attempts last season a number that should only go up as he fill s out his frame.
Webber already has offers from Iowa, Washington and Cal heading into his senior year and is primed to be one of the best players in the state next season.

Jacob caught fire down the stretch of a tight game to help his team to an opening night victory. He has a lanky 6’6” frame and is so tough to guard with his quick pull-up game and high release point on his shot. He took over in the second half, connecting with several tough looks from three-point range. He found success working off the ball, but also showed flashes of creating using the dribble.

Webber might be the top 2026 prospect in attendance. He’s a 6’5 wing who can score it any way possible. A threat to shoot from the volleyball line and in. His footwork in the mid-range is also impressive. His shot-making, balance, and touch are going to propel him to a high level in college. Tons of potential and skill with Webber. When it comes to shooting, he might be the best long-term prospect in the gym.
