Brandon Ramsey | Prep Hoops Scout
It is no secret that we generally keep La Lumiere prospects out of our rankings. Smith is a guy though who has stuck it out on the “regional” La Lu teams and has always played for Indiana-based AAU programs. He is now a 6’2″-6’3″ athletic guard with plus length, good playmaking skills as a lead ball handler, and a versatile defensive presence. College programs should definitely be watching him through the month of July.

An athletic, highly composed guard that has played for La Lumiere’s second team for a few years, Smith was a bright spot for Region Force in a loss to Grand Park Premier on Friday evening. He has the necessary wiggle with the ball in his hands to create his own shot, elevates well enough to get it off cleanly, and has a little explosive pop when finishing at the end of his drives. Intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.

A talented scorer that was getting it done in a variety of ways in the 8:00 a.m. game Sunday morning for Indiana Game UA Rise 2026, Smith is a name that deserves some more attention. He has a smooth shooting stroke from deep, enough skill to create his own shot off of the bounce, and the necessary athleticism to go finish at the rim. Good all-around player.
