Among the top uncommitted seniors in the country, Holt proved his mettle as a McDonald’s All-American with a hard-nosed 22-point performance in Prolific’s win over Royal Crown. He stuffed the stat sheet with 8 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block, operating across the lineup on both ends while displaying his toughness, physicality, and athleticism. Holt started off a bit slow as a scorer but picked things up as the Crew pulled away in the second half, getting going as a pullup shooter and taking advantage of his size to punish the opposing backcourt around the basket. When his jumper is falling, the McDonald’s All-American is truly one of the more dynamic two-way threats in the country.

Holt had a monster summer helping lead Game Elite to the 3SSB Palmetto Road Championship. The 6’5 two guard has the positional size and strength to come in right away and produce at the college level. Holt took a visit over the weekend to Houston but Providence, Alabama and other high major programs are also still involved with Holt. Prolific Prep is one of the most talented teams in the country and with Holt helping lead the way, they should contend for a Chipotle nationals championship.

Holt is a flat-out scorer. He can drive to his spot anywhere on the court and rise up or get to the rim and draw contact. He’s a high percentage free throw shooter, so putting him on the line is not the answer either for opposing teams. Holt has all of the tools one would want in that scoring combo guard. He has impressive body control on his drives, is acrobatic enough to avoid contact when needed so he can finish the shot attempt, and he seeks out contact to get to the line and convert. Holt also that “second bounce” part of his game where he can spring right back up extremely quickly to grab a board or tip in an attempt that may be rolling off the rim. The back half of Grayson’s four games saw Holt utilize that spring and grab more rebounds than the first two games, both victories for Grayson. Holt is another junior with many traditional powerhouse programs after him but, currently he has not made a decision on his future as he is focused on capturing another state title for Grayson before he departs for college.
