A new arrival at Prolific Prep, Doucoure is a mobile, developing big man from Mali with an intriguing combination of size and activity. He has better than average footwork, shows touch around the rim and plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor. Doucoure can protect the rim as a shot blocker and is an active rebounder who consistently goes outside of his area to pursue the basketball. He is a frontcourt prospect with plenty of room to continue developing.

The Mode Prep post has legit length and size inside to be a high-level rim defender, and he’s also shown continued growth operating from the blocks with his footwork and feel. He also has impressive mobility for his size and has shown the ability to defend further out in spurts.

Doucoure comes to Mode after spending last season with Prolific Prep. The lengthy post has also played with FC Barcelona’s U16 team and Mali’s U16 team. While Toms is the most ready-made prospect at Mode, Doucoure has some of the highest potential. His length shows up right away with his ability to chase shots down from the help side and rebound on both ends. He showcases some good agility for his size, eats up space with his drop steps, and shows a lot of promise in PNRs with his footwork. He has a good stroke at the foul line and has the potential to translate that to a more reliable midrange shot.
