Smith is a young prospect for Pluto Prospects 15U Black squad who flashed this weekend. He was a steady interior anchor and impacted the game with discipline and physicality in a sped-up game. He defends straight up by putting his hands in the air without fouling to alter shots, rebounds in traffic, and finishes with both hands around the rim, which stood out for me. Smith also closed a pivotal stretch with big-time boards out of his area that flipped possessions and kept them in the game. Offensively, he showed flashes as he put it on the deck a bit, set hard screens, and understood his role. I want to see how he improves in games, but he impressed me with his skillset.
