Expert Analysis
Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the more highly-touted post prospects among incoming freshmen across the region, Eaddy showed his reputation is more than warranted with extended stretches of dominance throughout the camp. He was effective setting up shop on the interior, using his powerful frame and massive hands to impose his will on opposing defenders near the rim. Eaddy controlled the boards and also showed signs of a gradually-expanding game on a series of grab-and-go forays off the defensive glass. He figures to be heard from early and often for a Bonner team with eyes on a PCL title and it shouldn’t be long before Eaddy is generating D1 attention in Drexel Hill.

Perhaps the top interior force among 2030’s across the state, Eaddy had a standout summer both with Bonner and while helping lead Team Final to a national Jr. EYBL championship. The big man thrives around the rim with a blend of skill, power, and athleticism, staying under control to finish in traffic with either hand among bigger and older defenders. He showed minimal signs of struggle in adapting to the high school game while slotting right into the starting five this summer for a guard-heavy Bonner team that hopes his presence inside can help push it over the top in the Catholic League. Eaddy likely has to grow a bit or expand his game over time to project to the highest levels of college, but his massive wingspan and early productivity both bode well in the long run.

Throughout the weekend, he consistently stepped up in key moments, providing a strong interior presence with physicality, discipline, and a relentless approach. He proved to be one of the toughest players to handle in the paint, using his skill and strength to create an advantage against opposing bigs.

Few post players in the Class of 2030 raised their stock more this spring and summer than Russell Eaddy Jr., and he carried that momentum into Team Final’s championship run at the 8th Grade Jr. EYBL Peach Jam. He was highly efficient around the basket, finishing with soft touch while displaying a polished back-to-the-basket game that included a reliable jump hook. Eaddy never tried to do too much, consistently converting the opportunities that came his way, controlling the glass with fundamentally sound box-outs, and playing with a level of confidence that continued to grow throughout the week. His interior production and steady presence were instrumental in Team Final capturing the title.
