Braswell has owned much of the Spring and Summer along Team Final as they won both the MADE Spring Circuit and Jr EYBL Championships. He followed that up with stellar showings at Philly Live I and II and then into July and into the August camp circuit. A crafty and quick lead guard with the skillset and confidence of a player much older, Braswell will be one of the top freshmen in Pennsylvania next season.

Eddie Braswell wasn’t a new name for me coming into CP3. I’ve watched him before, and the reason he continues to stand out is his ability to create offense without needing the possession to be perfectly organized around him.

At CP3, I wanted to see how that ability translated when he was surrounded by other talented 2030 players. Eddie continued to show that he can get downhill, create advantages and make something happen when the ball is in his hands. He plays with a natural pace and comfort that allows him to attack without looking like he needs to control every possession. He can push the ball, make plays for himself and others, and keep the defense reacting.

That’s consistent with what we’ve seen from Eddie in previous settings. His court vision, passing ability, scoring package and ability to play in transition have continued to stand out, and Coast 2 Coast currently has him ranked among our top 2030 prospects.

Boog’s Take: The thing I keep coming back to with Eddie is creation. When the game gets tougher and possessions aren’t easy, you need somebody who can manufacture an advantage. Eddie has shown me that ability more than once, and that’s what continues to separate him.

Considered by many as the top incoming freshman in the Philly region, Braswell backed up his status with an effortlessly effective showing on Friday. A consummate floor general even in a camp setting, the future Imhotep star was seemingly a step ahead at all times, orchestrating things in the halfcourt or transition while consistently pushing the right buttons as both a scorer and facilitator. He routinely set teammates up for easy looks with pinpoint passes while also showing impressive touch as a shotmkaer out to the perimeter. His IQ simply stood miles above the competition in a setting that served to highlight just how precocious Braswell is in terms of his approach to a game.

Eddie isn’t the crazy explosive, high-flying type—he’s more about quick-twitch explosiveness and a lightning-fast first step. Over the five-day stretch, no defender could stay in front of him, and he was impossible to keep out of his spots. Strong for his size and a clear underrated athlete from the event.

Considered among the top 8th grade point guards nationally coming off a Jr. EYBL championship with Team Final , Braswell looks to be next in line to carry the mantle of the historic Imhotep program. The precocious floor general made a splash right away in summer league and scholastic live period action, stepping right into marquee games and running the show with the poise and savvy of an upperclassman. Time will tell how much growth he has left, and there’s work to be done to start building up his body over time, but Braswell’s skill level and mental approach set him apart at this stage while providing a strong foundation as a long-term prospect.

Eddie Braswell III put the finishing touches on a tremendous spring and summer by leading Team Final to the 8th Grade Jr. EYBL Peach Jam championship. The five-foot-nine point guard played with exceptional poise from start to finish, consistently controlling the tempo and making the right decisions with the ball in his hands. He never allowed defenses to speed him up, operated with outstanding basketball IQ, and routinely created quality looks for teammates while picking his own spots offensively. Braswell’s command of the game and ability to elevate everyone around him firmly established him as one of the premier point guards in the Class of 2030.

-The incoming freshman point guard came in hot off the bench in both games that I saw to serve as a dynamic creator that proved successful both on and off-ball for the Panthers. Braswell pushed pace well in transition and made all the right leads, has an advanced handle that allows him to break his matchup down without a ball screen, attacked second-side closeouts well from the wing to hit elbow jumpers or generate a paint touch to dime up one of his bigs, and moved effectively off the ball with good timing on his cuts from the corners to score at the rim or hit teammates with quick touch passes. He has a great change of pace with his dribble, also showed a complete bag of crossover and finishing moves around the basket to score through contact or over taller defenders. With his blend of feel, skill, and quickness– I think he will be the next in a long line of successful PGs to come out of Imhotep.
