The annual Fishers Holiday Hoops Classic kicked off on Friday, with Prep Hoops Indiana in attendance to catch all the action. We got to see four games, featuring a few of our top prospects as well as some under-the-radar guys. Regardless of the outcomes, there were multiple top performers who stood out in today's games. Here are my top performers.

This freshman prospect is just special, and that was on full display in Fishers' dominant win over Fort Wayne Wayne. He was one of his team's leading scorers, and the best part about his performance was that he just let the game come to him. He did a great job of feeding off what his teammates were giving him, scoring at the rim and hitting a few smooth jumpers. One of the few freshmen in the state who is a varsity starter, he is going to be real special.

The out-of-state transfer is going to be a major problem the rest of the year, and the Fishers Tigers are going to take full advantage of it. Hillsman has returned to Fishers after starting his high school career there, and after a few stops, he comes back as one of the top bench contributors for the Tigers. He was a factor on both ends of the floor. He has natural athleticism with a long frame—a versatile prospect who plays so well off the bounce while also being capable of hitting outside jumpers.

Fishers started off the game on a roll, and honestly, a big part of that was because of the energy [player_tooltip player_id='2470635' first='Levi' last='Walker'] brought right away. Walker was fantastic, getting Fishers a couple of big-time buckets that automatically gave the Tigers momentum. He had some tough buckets underneath, but the most impressive thing was the multiple threes he hit in the first quarter that pushed the lead out far.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] was once again… [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] for the Fishers Tigers. Early on, he did a great job of getting the ball to his teammates who were in rhythm, but as the game extended, Zachary started hitting some big shots from behind the arc that just felt like a dagger every time to Fort Wayne Wayne. With [player_tooltip player_id='2267046' first='Jason' last='Gardner Jr.'] out for a while longer, Zachary is the main man in the backcourt, with everything running through him.

The Generals of Fort Wayne Wayne had a little bit of a rough outing in the first round of the Fishers Holiday Hoops Classic, but there was still a pretty good player performance by junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2470641' first='Tyree' last='Eldridge']. He was the team's leading scorer in the big loss to Fishers, but the most important thing I saw was that he just kept battling. He is a two-way wing who has some nice scoring attributes to his game and is not a guy who is going to look to force anything if it is not there. The junior guard plays his role really well for the Generals.

When it comes to raw potential, Basila is at the top of that list in the in-state 2028 class. He was by far the best prospect for Chesterton from what I saw in the game vs. Evansville North. He is really efficient around the basket on the offensive end and plays with such a high motor on the defensive end, being the top shot-blocker I saw at the Fishers Tournament. He finished with 12 points and a mess of rebounds.

While he may have started off the game a little slow, the senior wing stepped up at the right time for the Trojans in their tough loss vs. Evansville North. Pokorney did what he did best, and that was score the basketball. He finished with a team-high 15 points, hitting some smooth outside jumpers, but also creating in the lane and scoring at the rim. Just a high-IQ player.

There is no question about it—the senior out of Evansville North was easily one of the best players in the gym on Friday afternoon. You would be hard-pressed to find a player who is as skilled of a scorer as Chapman is. He started off the game in rhythm, hitting a few threes, and after that, there was some tough scoring from him in the lane and at the basket. He is a player you can trust to give the ball to, and he will go make a play. He finished with a game-high 25 points.

The best player on the floor for the Bosse Bulldogs on Friday afternoon was, without question, senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2172596' first='Marrius' last='Harris']. Arguably the best pure playmaker that I watched all day, Harris finished with a team-high 18 points in their big win over Columbus North. There is not a whole lot that Harris can't do on the floor, with his ability to make plays in transition while also being capable of hitting jumpers on a consistent basis. One of the best under-the-radar players in the whole state.

The one guy on Columbus North who tried to put his team on his back was junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2141046' first='Austin' last='Perry']. Finishing with a game-high 22 points, Perry played with a tough motor, and while he did not force anything, he was aggressive hunting down his shot. He hit a few big threes but felt he was at his best when he attacked the defense and played through the contact. A strong showing for him in the Columbus North loss.

To put it as simply as possible, there was not a better overall player performance during the first round of the Fishers Tournament than what [player_tooltip player_id='1561118' first='Doron' last='Harris'] did. In a tough loss to New Albany, Harris put up a game-high 32 points, scoring in every way possible. The most impressive part of his 32 points was his clutch three-point shooting down the stretch, which always kept Lawrence Central in the game as they looked to get the lead back. Harris remains one of the most underrated guards in the whole state.

There were multiple big-time performances from a couple of our freshman prospects at the Fishers Holiday Tournament, and one of them was easily New Albany's [player_tooltip player_id='2888227' first='Karson' last='Stoudemire']. If I am being completely honest, there were times during the game that I had forgotten he was a freshman, just by how mature a basketball player he was on the floor. He has a really good frame that he is still growing into, but it's his IQ and fearlessness on the floor that make him stand out. He finished with 17 points in New Albany's win over Lawrence Central.
