possesses the physical tools and long term upside to develop into a dominant presence in the paint. Carving out a role playing up an age group on 17U with the PSA Cardinals, Patrick makes his biggest impact on the defensive end, bringing nonstop energy and a strong physical presence and ultimately establishing himself as a true defensive anchor— contesting shots without fouling, using his length and timing to protect the rim, battling relentlessly on the glass with a rare mix of strength and explosiveness, and showing the versatility to switch onto quicker guards on the perimeter.
Patrick’s on track to be one of the more defensively dominant front court prospects in the national class and his recruitment should soon reflect that. On top of already receiving offers from the likes of UTEP, Cal State Bakersfield, Lafayette, Iona, and Louisiana.

still possesses the physical tools and intriguing long term potential to become a dominant interior force, much of what made him a key piece to the success this St. Joe’s Metuchen group endured on the way to capturing a GMC title and securing a spot in the NJSIAA South Jersey Non-Public A sectional final. Further along on the defensive end and far more impactful in that department, Patrick made his presence felt more and more as the season wained, bringing relentless energy and noticeable physicality standing out as a true defensive anchor— walling up against shot attempts without fouling, using his length and timing to protect the rim, winning battles on the boards with a rare combination of strength and a quick jump off the ground, and switch ability to guard out on the perimeter against quicker guards. With plenty of room to grow on the offensive end of the floor, Patrick still showed flashes of his improving touch around the basket and becoming a more efficient interior finisher. As the game continues to slow down for him, Patrick is definitely a prospect that will only get better with time and it’ll be interesting to see what his development looks like later down the road.

Patrick emerged throughout the season as one of the more imposing defensive presences in the state and only continued to prove himself in that regard despite coming away with the loss. A native of Ghana who arrived in the U.S. last summer, he was a consistent force both on the glass and as a rim protector. Taking an advantage of a Prep lineup that lacks a true post presence, he was repeatedly able to sky above the opposition to haul in high-point rebounds. He was quick off the ground to block shots at the rim and also showed impressive mobility playing out on the floor in pick-and-roll coverage. Patrick’s willingness to do all the dirty work without being incorporated much offensively was admirable in an era where most bigs want to flex their muscle on the perimeter at any and every opportunity. His ability to thrive in his role as already attracted attention up to the high-major level.

set the tone early on with tremendous activity and palpable physicality on both ends of the floor. As a legitimate defensive anchor, Patrick impressed with strong intangibles— walling up without fouling, blocking shots with his length and timely anticipation as a rim protector all while establishing the level of physicality early on, fronting the low post and making entry passes difficult for Paul VI’s guards. Just as impactful on the offensive end making meaningful plays, Patrick demonstrated his value, particularly around the basket— generating and capitalizing off second chance opportunities on the offensive glass.

often puts together moments where he can legitimately control the game on the defensive end of the floor, and very much showed flashes of that potential in St. Joe’s matchup against Crestwood Prep Friday night. HIs length and activity around the rim allowed to him block shot attempts with technically sound timing, wall up with discipline at the basket, secure rebounds on the defensive glass, and use active and quick hands to get his hands on passes and disrupt ball handlers in the lane.

Patrick is a hyper-athletic big who makes an impact on either end of the floor. He runs the floor like a deer in transition. Patrick finishes around the bucket and has soft hands which allow him to bring in passes. His size allows him to eat up space and take away driving lanes. He has impeccable timing going up to alter shots. Patrick is a prospect who should garner a ton of division one interest.
