Overview:

While not as deep or having a likely pre-season top five team in Division 2, Sectional 4 nonetheless boasts some strong teams with outstanding individuals. Milwaukee Bradley Tech has one of the better juniors in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='1749722' first='Jakari' last='Smith'], an athletic wing with multiple NCAA Division I scholarship offers. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2435115' first='Rashad' last='Fenner'] also returns after leading the team in assists and playing well over the summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075258' first='ABC' last='Young Lions'] program. Whitnall might have the best backcourt in the sectional with senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1300316' first='Myles' last='Herro'] and senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1362736' first='Jack' last='Lutz'] both returning. Herro started for the 17U [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] squad and recently earned a scholarship offer from Buffalo while Lutz has scored 1,255 career points and last week committed to South Florida to play collegiate baseball. Waterford also features a talented backcourt as senior [player_tooltip player_id='1504816' first='Jamison' last='Beesley'] and junior [player_tooltip player_id='1561893' first='Caden' last='Gustafson'] both return for coach Nick Roeglin. Saint Thomas More moves up to Division 2 after winning the Division 3 crown last March. Although the Cavaliers lost two D1 players to graduation in Amari McCottry (St. Louis) and Sekou Konneh (De Paul), the Cavaliers have enough left in their ranks to make things tough on opponents all season. Greenfield is a solid program with some experience returning and Martin Luther also returns plenty of talent, led by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1412883' first='Perry' last='Dorris']. Racine Park competes in the mostly Division 1 Southeast Conference and is led by two-time all-league selection [player_tooltip player_id='1815635' first='Isaiah' last='Robinson'].

The younger brother of Miami Heat star Tyler Herro, [player_tooltip player_id='1300316' first='Myles' last='Herro'] made a name for himself over the spring/summer as the starting point guard for a very good [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] 17U squad that competed well on the EYBL circuit. Definitely a pass-first lead guard, Herro has size, length, a high basketball IQ and outstanding court vision. He keeps his head up and pushes the ball ahead in transition, can run a team in the half court and is solid at getting into the lane and kicking the ball out for a spot-up three-point shot from one of his teammates. The first-team all-Woodland West Conference performer averaged 6.4 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 13.5 points as a junior and picked up a NCAA Division I offer from Southern Illinois over the summer.

Like all of the others on this list, Isaj is a four-year varsity performer. He begins his senior season with 1,419 points after averaging 23.3 ppg and picking up second-team all-league honors in the Woodland West Conference. Isaj can score at all three levels and is extremely aggressive on the offensive end of the court. Isaj has the potential to go off for a huge night on offense at any given time. For example, he went for 44 points in an 86-81 loss to Milwaukee Lutheran last winter. Isaj is considered a strong NCAA Division II prospect and figures to get plenty of looks during the prep season.

A four-year varsity performer at Martin Luther and a 1,000-career point scorer, Dorris utilizes his versatility, athleticism and play making to make a positive impact on the court. Although on the small side, Dorris more than makes up for his lack of height with his feistiness on defense and his physical strength and speed on offense. Dorris has developed into a very good long-distance shooter, but he's also effective off the bounce and often pulls up for mid-range jumpers that go down. Dorris, a second-team all-Metro Classic Conference pick as a junior, has the strength and body control to finish through contact. He averaged 18.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists as a junior for coach Paul Wollersheim at Martin Luther.

An explosive 6-foot-5 wing who owns NCAA Division I scholarship offers from Cal State Bakersfield, Milwaukee, Robert Morris and Milwaukee, Smith continues to move up the Prep Hoops Wisconsin Player Rankings in the 2026 class. He sits at No. 7 at this point after a strong sophomore campaign with Milwaukee Bradley Tech and then a solid spring/summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='2076218' first='Wisconsin' last='Playground Club']. Smith is at his best driving to the basket and finishing above the rim. He is extremely vertical and uses that asset to beat defenders. Smith is working hard to improve his three-point and free-throw shooting percentages. He averaged 13.8 points and 10.0 rebounds as a junior while helping upstart Milwaukee Bradley Tech to a 19-9 record.

One of the state's breakout performers over the spring/summer in Wisconsin's 2025 class, Abdullahi had a very strong junior season at Greenfield, averaging 16.0 points and 5.9 assists while leading the Hustlin' Hawks to a 16-9 record under coach Ryan DePouw. Abdullahi has a tight handle, can get to the basket and takes good shots from the perimeter. He has good speed in the open court and can get around defenders in the half court with his quickness. The 5-foot-11 senior ranked among the top point guard in the Woodland East Conference a year ago and ranked among the circuit's leaders in assists at 6.2 apg. Abdullahi earned first-team all-league recognition for his strong plast last winter and then performed very well for the [program_tooltip program_id='2534625' first='Hoop' last='Dreams Select Wisconsin'] squad on the circuit.

Pre-Season Pick To Click:

Racine Park figures to challenge Division 1 Racine Case, Oak Creek, Franklin and Kenosha Bradford for the title in the Southeast Conference. The Panthers went 20-8 a year ago and finished in second place in the league standings, two games behind Case. Coach Casey Robbins begins his third season at Park with three returning starters and four key reserves back, giving Park a rock-solid nucleus for the 2024-25 campaign. Leading the way for Park is senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1815635' first='Isaiah' last='Robinson'], a returning first-team all-league performer who led the Panthers in scoring at 15.6 ppg. He also contributed 4.5 rpg and is a four-year varsity performer who is closing in on 1,000 career points. Also back in the backcourt are promising sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='2140997' first='Zare' last='Gwinn'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2398441' first='Cole' last='Betker']. Both received substantial playing time as freshmen with Gwinn starting and averaging 8.0 ppg and 2.8 rpg. Senior big man [player_tooltip player_id='2493692' first='Jaxon' last='Moss'] (6-6) also is a four-year varsity player. He came on strong last season with a 25-point, 15-rebound showing in a win over Racine Horlick. He averaged 11.1 points and 5.5 rebounds. Other key returning players include seniors Cam Betker, Jacob Freeman and Natavion Santyoa-White along with juniors Jamarreon Deleon and Jwan Eastland. Experience, leadership and speed are the Panthers biggest assets.
