It was a very good weekend for Gustafson, who had NCAA DII coaches watching each time he competed at the Battle at the Lakes event at Wayzata High School. And he didn’t disappoint as his smooth jumper swished through the nets at a high level all weekend. Known as one of the better marksman from outside the arc in the state’s 2026 class, Gustafson also displayed plenty of grit and toughness when battling for rebounds and when trying to keep opponents away from the basket. He understands proper positioning to overcome a lack of true quickness when guarding, and he is a threat each time he touches the ball on the other end of the court. He finished with a game-best 20 points in 24: UP ‘s win over the Playmakers.

One of the premier long-distance shooters in Wisconsin’s class of 2026, Gustafson is a three-point shot maker and free-throw shooting lock for 24: UP Under Armour Rise. He had 15 points and three triples in a 69-67 loss to EIG Midwest out of Nebraska. He also made six-of-seven shots from the foul stripe. Gustafson competes with an edge to his game as he can be physical on both offense and defense. He’s also a very willing passer and solid teammate who enjoys getting after it every second he’s on the floor.
