Lots to like about the way Bednar approaches the game. A true team player who hustles, makes plays and can score in different ways, Bednar’s strong showings helped the 24: UP Burton squad to a 3-1 record at The Tune-Up. He has the size and physical strength to muscle his way to the basket and score over smaller defenders, but he also can take frontline players away from the hoop and score from the perimeter. In the victory over Team Herro Batchelor, Bednar finished with 12 points, drilling a couple of threes in addition to scoring in the lane.

The 6’5 forward helped lead his team to a pair of wins against MN Laceup and MN Rise in the games I watched. Henry was at his best moving without the ball, where he could beat opposing forwards with hard cuts, could outrun them by sprinting the floor for transition buckets, and was scrapping for put-back opportunities on the offensive glass. Just a strong and gritty player who’s going to battle on every possession.

The 24: UP Burton squad had little trouble defeating Minnesota Lace Up Black, and the strong play of Bednar taking the ball to the basket proved to be a big reason for his squad’s success. A strong forward who can catch the ball on the perimeter and then get downhill all the way to the basket, Bednar excelled in transition as he ran the floor well and finished above the rim at times. Bednar is coming off a strong junior campaign for Kettle Moraine Lutheran as he averaged 12.0 points and 4.8 rebounds while also making 32 shots from three-point range as the Chargers finished 15-11.
