Beesley’s ability to play either guard spot of even the small forward position makes him an attractive prospect. His combination of size, strength and size are all major assets for a Waterford squad looking to challenge for the Southern Lakes Conference title. Beesley isn’t a huge scorer, but he’s a big impact player due to his toughness, passing and grit. He recently has earned scholarship offers from Bemidji State (D2), Hillsdale (D2), Wayne State in Michigan (D2) and Dakota State (NAIA).

combines with Gustafson to form a dangerous backcourt duo for Waterford. One of the more versatile players in his class, Jamison can run the point, can act as a wing-scorer, and even has the size to play a bit of small-ball forward when needed. When defended with size, Jamison was able to utilize his handle to beat his defender off the dribble. When Homestead tried to defend him with a quicker guard, Jamison was simply able to bully his defender and get to the rim to score. Plays with a bit of flair that not only makes him fun to watch, but also helps him produce consistently as a scorer, facilitator, and rebounder.
Jamison has missed some time with injuries over the past year, but looks to be back healthy and playing at a high level. Now listed at 6’3 he has the size to play on the wing, but is a high level passer who can also run the point for his team. Changes directions quickly to get downhill, and is able to use his frame to pin defenders on his hip as he gets to the rim. Exceptional passer who can kick it out to his shooters or thread the needle to one of his bigs around the basket. Threat to pull-up for a jumper as well. Put up an impressive 11.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game while earning 2nd team all conference honors as a junior.
Waterford came up just short against Racine Park, but Jamison still made a statement. He was being defended by quicker guards, but knew how to change up his speeds to still be able to beat them off the dribble. Once by them he did a nice job of just pinning them on his hip all the way to the rim. Good body control to play off two feet as well as the strength to finish through contact. Jamison knocked down a pair of threes and also showed a nice face-up game out of the post against smaller guards. Finished with a team high 17 points.
I think Waterford is a team that could be better than people expect after going 11-14 last season. They return a good amount of talent, including Beesley who averaged 7.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game last season as a sophomore. Waterford had a balanced team, but he showed some flashes of being able to take over as an isolation scorer with multiple games of 17 points early in the season. Good change of speed to beat his man off the dribble, and one thing you’ll notice is that he always has his eyes up and scanning the floor looking for an open teammate.
Jamison played a nice role for Waterford as a freshman, but looks ready to take another jump as a sophomore. Against a tough Mukwonago team he finished with 19 points and was doing so in impressive fashion. Beesley possesses some size at 6’2 as well as a calm demeanor as an underclassman. One thing you’ll notice about Jamison is that he always keeps his eyes scanning the floor when dribbling. This allows him to make quick decisions when attacking, because if a help-side defender steps up he knows exactly where the open man is. Beesley plays with a nice change of pace, can finish at the rim, and can hurt you from beyond the arc if you give him too much space.
